Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1961 Willys pickup. Runs and drives. I have just overhauled the brakes on all 4 wheels: new drums, shoes, springs, adjusting hardware and wheel cylinders. I have a new master cylinder but am sick of laying in the dirt to work on this truck. Installed 4 new front wheel bearings and new front spindle lock washers & nuts. All new wheel lugs and lug nuts. Changed the left side to right hand threads. Previous owner installed split windshield. This year vehicle does not need a title in Vermont.”

“i have had this willey jeep since childhood(55yrs.) it has been in storage and not really used for the last 15 years it has been a family treasure i just put new brakes and rubber on it 5 years ago it runs fine it has been painted from its original color to red, it does well in the parades!”

“1948 Willys Pickup. Features: 2WD, Chevy 350 2 bolt short block engine, Z28 Camaro Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Electric Radiator Fan. New engine main shaft seal, water pump, hoses, power steering pump installed within last 2000 miles. Nice working condition, driven on weekends monthly.”
The exterior looks nice, but the hood has a dent. Seller has an extra hood.
“I have a 1962 Willy’s Jeep pickup f4 134 4 wheel drive. It’s is in great condition, paint, wood, interior, everything is clean and runs excellent. It has a Buick V6 engine, 3 speed manual, 10,000lb Pto winch on the front bumper, tires are all like new. I recently put in new speakers and a cd/MP3 capable stereo deck. Spare hood is included. This truck has very low miles, just over 44k, and has been driven lightly around town, nothing long distance. Garage kept and a real head turner!”
