Bravo Zulu House Looking for WW2 Jeep For Wall Art

• CATEGORIES: Features, wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: Tim is still looking for a WW2 body.

The Executive Director of the soon-to-open Bravo Zulu House & Trinity Sober Homes in Minnesota hopes to mount half a WW2 jeep on a wall as an art-piece. If you have a junk jeep you think might interest them, contact Tim Murray and 507 400 1973 or 612 251 6150 or
Tim @ bravozuluhouse.org (remove spaces from around the @).

“We are building an all-military sober in Minnesota that will be 1st in the country to help Veterans suffering from PTSD and substance abuse. See www.bravozuluhouse.org …. Looking to mount on the wall of great room a “cut down the middle” side view of a ww2 jeep (no engine, axels and gas tank removed, etc.) to lighten the “art”. I have volunteers to help with cutting and then painting the vehicle. We have a trucking company that will take care shipping. So basically looking for a WW2 Willys that nobody else (maybe?) would want (junk, no engine, etc.)”

Punxatawney, PA, Area Readers

• CATEGORIES: wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Andy has been a big help to eWillys readers recently by finding and sharing a bunch of ads. Now, he needs a little help. He’s hoping someone can stop by a seller in the Punxatwaney, Pennsylvania, area and pick up some MIller front end tools Andy needs. It sounds like the seller is having a difficult time getting around to mailing them.

Anyway, if you can help Andy out, email him at adtesto @ gmail.com (remove spaces from around the @).

Koenig Body-Extension (or Hardtop) Data Tag Size

• CATEGORIES: Features, wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Claus is curious about the size of a Kong body-extension data tag size. Anyone have one they can measure? Alternatively, anyone know the size of a Koenig hardtop data tag?

Using photoshop, I was able to figure out that the body-extension data tag size is about a 2-1 ration, meaning if the height is 2″, then the width is about 4″. My guess is that the tag may be 1.5″ x 3″.

Here is a body-extension data tag example:

Stainless Steel Truck/Wagon Wing in 1948s?

• CATEGORIES: wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Dave discovered he has this wing window with stainless trim in one of his pickups. He’s not seen one before. Anyone know if they were an option?

He writes, “So I have come across a stainless steel wing window in one of my pick ups. According to the Willys America parts restoration book 48-49 pick ups and wagons had them. I have 3 1948 pick ups. None of them have stainless. I am trying to figure out if this was an option or what?”

Wanted: FC Seats

• CATEGORIES: wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

I’m looking for a set of FC seats or even just seat frames (I’ll likely be recovering them so they match the tour jeep bench seats in back). My goal is to convert tour jeep’s seats back to the original style of seats as a part of capturing a little more of the original feel of the tour jeep.

Searching for an M-29 Weasel FC

• CATEGORIES: FC150-FC170-M677, Features, wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: I mistakenly listed this as an M-59, but I must blame the chills, fever, and general immune-system mayhem caused by my booster shot. That booster kicked my butt! But, I am all better now.

Grace’s husband and brother-in-law are searching for this M-29 Weasel FC. If anyone can provide help, please contact jeepFCcollector @ gmail.com (remove the spaces around the @).

“They have been looking to locate this M29 Weasel based FC cab vehicle. They have traced it from CP Riders (letters on the doors), to an Illinois farmer, to a broker 20 years ago in Dakota Illinois. They have made contact with that broker who says he sold it to a company in Pennsylvania who intended to use it for rescue and recovery on a Pa. mountain pass.”

He’ll share some pics of his new find once he is able.

WANTED: Pics of the 25V 60amp M-38A1 Alternator Conversion

• CATEGORIES: wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

David wants to convert his 1952 M-38A1 from a generator to a 25v 60 amp alternator. He can be contacted at ddelamar35 @ gmail.com (remove the spaces around the @ before emailing).

He writes,  “I am trying to convert the generator system on my ’52 M38A1 to a 25v 60amp alternator. I have the alternator and the conversion wiring harness, but I would appreciate seeing pictures of such a conversion and/or speaking to someone who has done it. I know that the m38a1’s manufactured by Ford in Canada had this feature”

He’s already done his research and is familiar with this post on the topic from the WillysMJeeps.com forum here, here,  and the G503 forum, but is hoping to find more pics or even discuss it with someone who has made the conversion.
