Mickey Thompson has reproduced a set of 27″ Gates for the dune buggy folks, but I’ve not had much luck finding any other vintage Gates-like tires.

Civilian L-134 in Good Shape Wanted

• CATEGORIES: wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Carlos Lopez from Navarro, Spain, is seeking a civilian L-134 in good condition from someone willing to ship the engine to Spain. He’s rebuilding the very first MB-CJ3B built in Spain (Civvy L-134s were installed in the early ones http://www.mb-cj3b.com/home_en/mb-cj3b_history). He’s spent the past year looking around Spain for an engine, but has had no luck finding one. Based on an ebay example he sent me (that seller won’t ship internationally), he’s willing to pay a reasonable amount for the engine (of course he’ll foot the shipping).

It sounds like a worthy project. Email me at d@ewillys.com and I’ll provide his email.

Here are some pics of his jeep. He’s buying parts as he can.

If you are curious, here’s a restoration of another MB-CJ3B from 2008: http://www.mb-cj3b.com/home_en/my_restoration

Wanted: Hardtop for the DJ-3A

• CATEGORIES: wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Mitchell is looking for a DJ-3A hardtop for his DJ-3A Dispatcher. He’s located in the midwest. Since he has the delivery body and windshield, the best match might be the Koenig made tops with the sliding doors. Here’s Mitchell’s project:

Here’s the hardtop that would work with his windshield. These pics come from the CJ-3B page:

This is the standard delivery top with out a rear window.

This is the CJ-5 version. The window ads extra visibility. I’m pretty sure that this top will fit the DJ as well. Anyone actually tried this?

WANTED: Installation Instructions for M2 Hubs w/ Single Spring

• CATEGORIES: wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Maury is hoping to find a set of installation instructions for his NOS Warn M2 3-ring type hubs.

“I have a set of NOS Warn M2 hubs in the original box that’s missing the instruction sheet, and am trying to either find or reproduce one. If someone has an original copy they’d be willing to sell, great – but a good scan or photo of the unfolded document would also suffice to reproduce it. Here’s a photo of the installation instructions / owner’s manual with a set of early Warn locking hubs. The sheet folded down to about 3″ x 3”:

Father Thomas Asher Needs Some M-38A1 Parts

• CATEGORIES: Features, wanted This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Father Thomas Asher expressed an interesting in sharing some history as part of a retreat near Los Gatos, California, this summer. You can read a short bio on him here.

He was most interested in finding one or more folks to bring their jeeps to the retreat and share some history with the kids, but it’s proven difficult to find help. So, he bought an M-38A1, but it needs some parts. He’s got shipping arranged out of Dallas (he grew up there), but if anyone has some parts and can help him out, he’d appreciate it. You can call him at 408-455-1720

I was hoping someone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area might have some of the things just to keep shipping costs down. Bob at 820 Jeep Service got us a few things but wasn’t sure if there was
someone else in this area. The things I would like to find fairly soon are all available on line I
just wanted to make sure someone didn’t have these things laying around that I could pick up for a better price.

Thanks for your help,
Thomas Asher
