About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

UPDATE: As best as I can tell, it looks like 1963 was when Don Pratt’s Jeep Tours began working with the Kachina Cab company. The article appeared in the August 13, 1963, issue of the Arizona Republic:
===============================
Originally posted June 2019:According to this Pink Jeep Tour site, Pink Jeep Tours is the oldest continuously operating Jeep Tour Company in the United States. It was started in 1958 by a Sedona Realtor named Don Pratt, who would drive clients to see homes at Broken Arrow Estates. The Broken Arrow tour is the original Jeep tour and is still today the most popular tour in Sedona.Why did he make the jeeps pink? Mr. Pratt got the idea while visiting the Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Waikiki Beach, where everything was pink.
But, that’s only part of the story. In her book Echoes of Sedona Past, Mary Lou Keller explains how her and her husband cleared the first trail and how, when Glenn Keller decided not to open a jeep tour business, their friend Don Pratt asked if he could do it instead. Mrs. Keller covers the story in five pages of her book available to read on Google.The book also includes the image below of Mary Lou Keller with her do Pico in her (probably) 1946 CJ-2A:
“Original one-of-a-kind amateur 2 1/4″ square negative. Excellent condition. The listing image was created using PhotoShop to make a positive digital image. I did very little adjusting; you should be able to produce a much better print/image than the one shown in this listing.”
“CJ2A 1946 Willy’s original equipment Runs , Drives , And Stops Very Good,Solid Original Engine 3 Speed Transmission, Frame Solid No Rust Floors Are Solid Body Mostly solid Top Is Very Good”

“It’s a 1958 military mule it originally had a four-cylinder Willys engine that we still have but now it has a two cylinder Hercules engine which has more power and that motor came in the later models we bought the engine brand new and put it in it has brand new tires on the front 4 Wheel drive and four wheel steering I made 11,000 of them and 6000 of them were left in Vietnam”
“konig iron works half cab that came with my 1950 cj3a that i do not need its in pretty solid shape except for the bottom back wall but should be an easy fix im looking for 450 obo local pickup only”
(03/03/2020) This might be a DJ-3A convertible, given the column shift. The serial number indicates it is a 1962 DJ-3A (listed as a 1949). It includes a 4.3gm engine.
“Rebuilt Engine by Messers installed never started…extra radiators(2) ….made 12 volt…still have original parts with many extras such as seats frame …axles….fuel tank…many brand new parts… plug wires..brake drums…exhaust… fuel lines”
(06/30/2019) This may have been a DJ-3A. Now has lots of mods.
“I will be in Selma (where the jeep is located) from the 5th of July- 14th of July if you want to look at it I would like to sell it while I’m in town. I have moved to Las Vegas and with a 3 year old the jeep just isn’t practical. The jeep is In Selma ca Its registered as a 56 “Willy” so there is none of that bs smog stuff to deal with. But it’s actually a 40 something Willy’s chassis with an aftermarket tub. It has a small block Chevy 350 with a Muncie. Coil over Fox shocks in the front with 14” of travel and I think 10” Bilstien shocks on the rear. Pm any questions you want to Ask Open to trades that may be more family friendly”
(07/26/2020) I wish the pics were clearer. I doubt this is an M-38. This lacks a fuel inlet on the side. The hardtop looks to be a modified Porter & Reed hardtop, but I can’t tell for sure.
