Updates return Tuesday morning.
Anyone in the Seattle area have a Stratton Hydraulic Lift? A man named Ernie lives in the Seattle area (don’t know where just yet) and it was his family’s Cleveland, Ohio, machine shop that built the Stratton Lifts. We are hoping that if he sees one in person that it will jog his memory for some stories about them.
Email Barry Thomas at barry@farmjeep.com or me at d@deilers.com if you know of anyone.
You can read more about Ernie and his Machine shop here: https://www.farmjeep.com/2020/11/08/stratton-lift-builder-found-us/
The machine shop is still in business and, if there is enough interest, they may even be willing to manufacture some parts.
Blaine shared this nicely original CJ-5.

“Mechanically correct 3 owner CJ5 , F-134 engine runs well and the transmission shifts smoothly and the transfer-case shifts in and out of four wheel drive with ease . Dana 44 rear with factory Power-lok rear end with 5:38 gears in front and rear differentials. Front differential has smooth working Warn locking hubs and has new inner and outer seals including knuckle seals the king pin bearings have been replaced in the front differential as well . The body has never been repainted since new and is extremely clean for a 54 year old Cj5. The brakes are new as are the KYB gas shocks at all 4 corners .
I have replaced the Fuel pump with the correct Dual Action fuel pump along with a new steel tank and lines as well as rebuilt the Carburetor. The starter has been rebuilt recently and it has a new battery and ignition switch as well. The Radiator has been re-cored and it has a new water pump and Thermostat as well. The Heater Core was replaced and the heater works as it should . I replaced all of the worn out factory insulating pads between the body and frame with ½ inch conveyor belting and all new correct ⅜ 24 bolts washers lock washers and nuts . I replaced the speedometer assembly and speedometer cable because they were no longer working but the originals will be provided with the Jeep. The Jeep comes with 5 BFG All Terrain tires with good tread”

This unusual poster for a Revell radio jeep and trailer is an unusual find. This 1957 poster is pretty cheap compared to the 1956 version of the model, which is on eBay for $225.

“Vintage 1957 Revell Radio Jeep & Trailer Two Sided Dealer Store Display Poster – from a Revell Co. Employee Collection. Has some wear & a fold line. From a smoke free home. Be sure to see my other listings for some other items from this collection.
History of this item: I recently purchased a collection of model related items from a local auction house. They would only tell me that the original owner was a former Revell employee, unfortunately the auction company would not disclose any names or information about the consignor of the collection. The majority of this collection is related to the 1950s Revell models, but there are some items from many other companies. I have been advised by several collectors that this person was most likely a Revell Co. Representative and he would have travelled to Toy Fairs & Industry Trade Shows of the time, where he would have promoted Revell Products and also acquired advertisements from other companies. Please do not contact me about purchasing any items from this collection, they will be listed for auction as I have the time.”

“Great running little CJ flat fender Jeep. Driveable now but will require some final tinkering to put it back on the road – electrical for lights, blinks, gauges, brakes bled, decent seats and the tires are good but checked. Optima battery pictured NOT included with the sale. Has spent some time on the Coast so a little blistering here and there on the body but not terrible. 4 point roll cage included with the sale. All and all a cool project for someone with the hard work being done. Good title on current non op. $4200. Trades considered (no boats or bikes please)”
