About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This 1951 Jeep Willy’s has a ton of work done on it then made its way to the barn and hasn’t had any miles since. It had a new top, new motor, a bunch of work done to brake system, ford 289 v8, plus much more. It runs and drives like you would expect a 1951 Jeep to drive and is an absolute blast. It has been thrash and haven’t been stored outside at all. Title in hand.”
(08/14/2020) Locals only. Seller doesn’t want to ship. This may have a Bobcat fiberglass hood, the rarer tear-drop version.
“Up for sale is my 1942 Willy’s MB, I’ve taken it as far as I can with my budget but it still needs some mechanical and cosmetic work. Entirely stock drivetrain. Really great potential and comes with lots of parts. $7,500 Local sale only – I’m not interested in shipping”
“Up for sale is my 1983 AM General DJ-5L right hand drive postal mail Jeep. Two wheel drive, runs and drives, Pontiac iron duke 2.5 4-cylinder oddly mated to a Chrysler automatic transmission. Matching set of 4 tires with full tread, and new exhaust. Brakes work, but the brake light is on. Rusty, patches over patches, the back of the frame was rusted out and welded back up with a 2″ hitch added.
I’m not sure if the 59,000 miles is original or if it has hundreds of thousands more. The only gauge that works is the ammeter, but the lights, windshield wipers, and heat work. Starter sometimes grinds when you start it. Back when I was selling on Ebay full-time I was going to use it to go to neighborhood rummage sales, but I’m not sure it’s road worthy.
Might make a better field car or trailer spotter, golf cart or cheap UTV, or use for parts, or some other off road use. Asking $1,500 or best offer, hard to know what to ask. Title comes with a signed MV2300 , if I’m understanding it right I shouldn’t have to put it in my name to sell it to someone else, but I can if necessary. I would just prefer not to give the DMV $164.50 for doing next to nothing. Also, I have a spare engine available with only 48,000 miles on it”
“1951 Jeep Willy’s up for sale or open to trades as long as it’s worth my Jeep. Send me your trades all I can say is no . I like older Ford trucks. I won’t mind having a little Ford car but open to other vehicles . So let’s see what happens.”
“Listing for my dad. I can take texts as try to answer questions. Jeep is located in Lehi:
1947 Willyz CJ2A Flat fender, amazing Jeep that has been completely restored, engine has been recently rebuilt, transmission, transfer case rebuilt. I have gone through the axles and brakes and replaced anything that needed replaced. When bought I rhino lined the whole tub and painted the exterior with a textured paint. There is a top that’s on the Jeep in the pictures and then another that has doors and encloses the entire Jeep. It has a heater that makes it nice and toast inside during the winter and on the deer hunt. Any other questions that arise please don’t hesitate to ask. Not going to give this away considering I have way more money into it then I’m asking. Price is OBO but please no nonsense.”
“1947 Willy’s Jeep. I have owned this Jeep for numerous years and have too many projects to complete. The jeep has original equipment and it currently does not run. I have a second engine that works well with a transmission and transfer case that goes with the jeep. There is a new fuel system installed, as well as a new gas tank with a professionally rebuilt carburetor. I have receipts for many of the parts. It is currently licensed and titled. Mileage unknown”
Joe Drew outfitted a series of wagon modifications that are highlighted in this brochure. I tried to learn more about Joe Drew, but didn’t have any luck. This is form number: 4x463SW-M2-50M-8-48. It is a tri-fold brochure that also folds out to create a single large image.
This is the page when the tri-fold portion is fully opened.
