TJ spotted this Munga for sale. I don’t know enough about these to know if it’s been restored correctly.
“This 1968 DKW Munga 4 is a four-passenger, four-wheel-drive military model powered by a 981cc three-cylinder two-stroke engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It is finished in dark olive green and features a tan canvas soft top and a four-point roll bar behind the front seats. The vehicle previously resided in Italy, and was refurbished by a prior owner before being imported to the US three years ago. This Munga is now offered with removable soft canvas doors, a spare fuel tank and other parts, import documentation, and a clean New York title.”

“This is a 1948 all steel tub sitting on a custom fabricated boxed Chromoly frame and roll cage. I can’t recall the stretch amounts. Beautifully powder-coated. NOT auto enamel. “Good condition and runs great. Recently replaced the cylinder head. New set of five Goodyear Wranglers. New radiator. Upgraded 2 speed radiator electric cooling fan. New leaf springs and shocks. All 6 U joints have been replaced. All new brake shoes, wheel cylinders and bearings. Full roll cage. 3 point safety belts. All electrical systems work properly. All the drivetrain operates properly. Check out the pictures. Many other upgrades have been done and during winter I have driven it as a daily driver.”

“Selling my ’45 matching numbers GPW. Very few of these around. Excellent project that needs to be completed. Located in Henderson, Nevada. Very complete; never been restored; very little rust; solid floor. Original engine and correct xfer case rebuilt but never installed. Will include correct GPW spring to replace original failing right front spring. Original radiator in excellent condition. Carb was removed during our move—will include a correct carb. Late war MB engine installed with T90 & CJ xfer case—-frame & floor not cut. Original windshield; original fuel tank with no leaks. Will include correct seats. Front brakes & steering linkage need to be reinstalled. Have correct driveshafts which will be included. Will deliver within reasonable distance for cost of fuel/tolls/meals/hotels. Original data plates. Will not ship outside the USA.”

(04/24/2020) This hasn’t been on the road since 1980. Has some rust. However, it also has some nice details that appear in good shape. It could be worth a look if you want a Jeepster project.

“McClure ohio, $6,500 obo . 1949 willys jeepster. 6 cylinder ( not original- came with a 4 so I’m told ) by vin number. But is the correct lighting 6 cylinder for that year of jeepster. Last on the road in 1980 . According to the sticker on the plate . DOESN’T RUN. my grandad recently passed away, and for whatever reason he took the fuel pump, distributor and carburetor off . I FOUND THE DISTRIBUTOR AND CARB ??? There’s a couple fuel pumps in the back of the car ( box SAYS jeepster on it ) ENGINE IS FREE AND HAS COMPRESSION. The interior is in really good condition. The car has some rust on rockers. The entire underneath of it was painted by me in about 98 or so . Always kept inside. Top is in good shape . There’s extra parts for it ,and every jeepster part I find I’m putting with it . Cash only no trades.”
