“1962. Willy Jeep. Made for Kaiser cement company in Hawaii. Not many made. Only 9300 made.”
This October 1960 issue of Jeep News covers racing, jeeping, dealer news, and auto shows. There are some good pics from 1960’s Hong Kong Autoshow Display. I only wish they were in color!
UPDATE: I’ve got 20 posters of the Better Homes and Gardens ad I posted last month for sale. They are 28″ x 22″, the same size as the poster I sold a two years ago (I also ordered twenty additional 1956 Jeep Family posters that I plan on selling, too).
Posters are $25 each (shipping is included in that for the continental US). Two posters are $45 (shipping included). EMAIL me at d@deilers.com if you’d like one or more. I will accept a check or PayPal.
This better shows the size as compared to my guitar:

Here’s the other poster, one based a 1956 brochure;
This shows the original brochure (entire original brochure here) vs. the completed poster.

==========================
Original post from June 2020: This June 1954 Willys wagon ad was published in Better Homes and Gardens. It’s such a cool ad that I thought it might make a good poster.
Neat old postcard showing a campsite in the desert with a CJ-3B. The photo was shot by Al Christman (presumably, there were at least two folks camping).
The buy-it-now price on these is $35. They are pretty tiny, but at least two of these look pretty old.
This CJ-2A appears to have some kind of extended rear on it.

“”Visit Cougar Mountain Lodge- Smith’s Ferry, Idaho” b/w RPC, street scene with frontal image of the Post Office, quaint picture, flag flying above the A-frame post office, with a jeep parked in front; Business district , Lynn’s Place, Boise Meat Co., Miller signs ; white border, clouds, with forest in background behind Post Office; vintage card; rear of card unused; no divider, stamp box has unusual EKC lettering looks like an anvil on an e-bar Provenance: Country (if not USA): State: Idaho City/County: Smith’s Ferry Date: unknown”
This has a variety of updates. Could be a good price. It has some Cutlas Bulldog hubs.

“SOMEONE CALLED THIS A “REDNECK SPORTS CAR”…ABOUT SUMS IT UP. THIS IS 1948 CJ2A WITH AN EARLY 60’S CORVETTE 283 V8 THAT RUNS WELL. IT DOES HAVE LOUD MUFFLERS ON IT…NOT MY CHOICE BUT THAT’S HOW IT WAS WHEN I BOUGHT IT. THE SEATS ARE NEWER, HOWEVER I WILL THROW IN THE ONES I WAS GOING TO REPLACE THEM WITH BECAUSE I DON’T LIKE RACING SEATS (SEEING HOW THIS ISN’T A RACING JEEP!).
IT HAS A MUNCIE 4 SPEED THAT SHIFTS WELL AND A DRUM-REAR, DISC-FRONT SET UP. THE DISCS ARE NEWER FROM KAISER WILLYS AND THE RIMS ARE NEW REPOPS WITH DECENT TREAD ON THE SCHWAB TIRES. THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID A RE-WIRE WITH A “PAINLESS” JEEP SYSTEM THAT WAS FOR A NEW JEEP AND HASN’T BEEN PAINLESS. I HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY THINGS WORKING BUT THERE IS A LOT OF CIRCUITS LEFT IN CASE YOU’RE INTO STEREOS, LIGHTS ETC. IT HAS A NEW BATTERY BUT AFTER 3-4 DAYS IT DRAWS DOWN. I DON’T DO ELECTRIC STUFF SO GUESSING AN ALTERNATOR…BUT IT COULD BE SOMETHING REAL SIMPLE BASED ON WHAT I’VE SAID ALREADY ABOUT THE WIRING HARNESS. ALL THE GUAGES SEEM TO WORK EXCEPT THE GAS…HAVEN’T LOOKED INTO IT, AND MAYBE THAT’S SIMPLE TOO.
THE BACK SEAT IS A TOOL BOX SO YOU CAN RIDE 4 AND STILL HAUL THE NECESSARIES. I CAN ANSWER SOME QUESTIONS. I’VE OWNED IT SINCE LAST FALL, WORKED ON IT THROUGH THE WINTER AND GOT IT GOING ABOUT THE TIME COVED STARTED…SO IT HASN’T BEEN REGISTERED. IF I HANG ON TO IT MUCH LONGER I WILL BUT I’M NOT DRIVING IT EXCEPT TO KEEP IT WARMED UP AND RUNNING AROUND A MILE OR TWO OUT IN THE COUNTRY. IT’S MORE OF A PROJECT THAN I CAN DEVOTE TO, SO PERHAPS THIS IS YOUR HOBBY. THE SHIFT KNOB WILL BE THE METAL ONE NOT THE ANTLER AND I’M KEEPING THE HI-LIFT JACK AND CONTENTS OF THE TOOL BOX. OTHER THAN THAT, WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $22,500.
Maury spotted this beautiful and original CJ-5, down to the original paint. The seller wasn’t quite sure where to start on price, as he knows this is a rare, unmolested Renegade II, so he’s starting high.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $14,500.
Could be worth a look. Sounds like the seller has had it a long time.
“NEW: REBUILT MOTOR, CLUTCH, CANVAS, ETC. FIRST OWNER AFTER GOVERNMENT.”
This has mods and unoriginal parts. Pics are small.
