This is a classic that can both roar down PCH or up any hill or sand dune across Southern California with fun and ease. Super reliable. This 1947 Willys CJ2a is completely upgraded throughout and as reliable as any daily driver while still staying true to the original.

The ride is super smooth. Springs are upgraded to allow the Willys to purr at 80 mph down the freeway without any wobble, nice and tight. You will never see a flattie roll as stable as this. Can also tackle any off-road situation with zeal. . . Sits on 35” BFG MTs (which will need to be replaced) and also comes with a full roll cage.

1980 Malotte Manufacturing Brochure

This rare 1980 Malotte Manufacturing brochure for fiberglass bodies was an interesting one to run across, as it includes a couple eastern dealers (see bottom image). This might explain where some of the older fiberglass bodies in the PA/OH area originated.

Bay City Antique Fire Truck Sale

• CATEGORIES: Features This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Roger Martin shared the news that the Antique Toy and Firehouse Museum in Bay City, Michigan, is selling some of their extra fire trucks including a 1958 fire jeep (see the Barn Finds post about the sale), though the fire jeep has sold already (I have no pics of it). Ann and I visited in 2013 and had a wonderful tour courtesy of the owner Jim Dobson.

Our 2013 visit: http://www.ewillys.com/2013/05/13/fire-engines-16000-toys-and-a-battle-ship/

Here’s some pics of some of the toys jeeps he has, which I ran out of room to post previously. He has more than this:

1952 M-38 Schertz, TX $16,000

• CATEGORIES: M-38 • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

A variety of extras are included on this M-38. The windshield seems like it leans back a little farther than it should. I’ve never heard the term “Restored to Combat Class”.

“Has original parts, 24 volt system. Many original add-on’s that make this a unique find. Please see photos and review the video for running Jeep featuring a narrative from the owner and a full scope of all that is included with this sale.

Several of your inquiries have been to include further photos of what items are extra in my Dads large bin that comes with the Jeep. I’ve put many more photos in the ad now, several items most likely will have no interest to you, nevertheless they come with the Jeep.

I’ve personally never looked at the underside of the Jeep until I took these photos, it is not that easy to snap these upside down, but I did my best. I should tell you that it will have a few areas I know that need to be sanded, I believe on the right front passenger side on the undercarriage. The Jeep has been sitting several years without care, covered, but still without my dads care due to his illnesses, and I know he has not been able to maintain or do further work that he had planned on completing with the Jeep. But, all things considered, it’s not a shiny showpiece, however, it is one heck of a Jeep!

We’d Love to hear from you, make your best offer!”
