Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1951 willys m38 24v Korean War era Jeep. Jeep is complete and needs a full tune up-batteries to get going again. It has sat in my garage the past 1.5 years in hopes of working on it. I have not touched it due to work. It has the original drivetrain and body hardware you would hope to find. It has the original Jerry can, spare tire, Canvas top with removable side panels and doors, canvas is in nice original condition on both front and rear seats as well as top.
Newer harness-comes with brand new one and parts. Motor turns freely by hand almost zero if any leaks. The Jeep Ran in 2018 as the previous owner got a tail light ticket. It was his fathers civil defense Jeep and it was painted as such. It has vinyl decals that can be removed. The only body work I’ve found has been a small metal plate in the tool box, passenger floor and axe indent have had some work. Great start for some one to drive or restore. If I get it running 11,000 make offer as if your interested”

Finished in blue and white over a blue vinyl interior, the truck is powered by a 134ci L-head inline-four linked to a column-shifted three-speed manual gearbox. The fluids and filters were serviced in November 2019, and a safety inspection was performed. This Jeepster is offered with a replacement canvas top, spare wheels, and Ontario registration.”

“Original 1946 Agri Jeep. Serial number 43416.
This jeep has a good motor and tranny. Both had been gone through with the intention of a total rebuild to happen. Motor runs strong with new gasket, valves reworked, tranny rebuilt. Frame is in surprisingly great shape as evident in the pics ( maybe due to the layers of paint). Take notice of the front gussets. Original frame tag is present and I also have the matched body tag.
Body tub is shot, no surprise there. Front fenders, grill are decent for restoration. This jeep has an original radiator in great shape and holds fluid. Also included ( not pictured) is a desirable original early & correct Air Filter assembly in great shape.
And a few other new parts including coil, brake master, floor starter.
The PTO and shaft are unfortunately gone as they were stolen in the middle of a move.

“Original condition Willys Jeep CJ-5 showing 71k miles on the odometer. F-head 134 Hurricane 4-cylinder engine runs smooth and sweet. Three speed manual transmission, two speed transfer case, coupled to a Warn overdrive gear unit and a newer clutch. (have video of engine idling)
The jeep drives, shifts, and brakes normal. The overdrive unit, when engaged, reduces engine RPM and allows for a more road friendly vehicle. Look up Warn overdrive to get an idea of its value. (have video of driving through gears)
