About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Clean title in my name 4 cylinder 3 speed. Brand new 2″ lift kit (shocks and springs) included. Windshield included
No trades, no trades, no trades
It was running poorly until the starter quit. This is a Project”
Roger Martin snapped these photos yesterday at the Willys Jeep Rally at Hueston Wood State Park in Ohio. These first pics show Roger’s CJ-2A. His 1947 CJ2A was painted in 1967 and has stayed good all these years. He made the bikini top a few years ago out of a 1951 roll of canvas from the Korean War.
“I have a full aluminum top with doors built with .065″ gage and obviously hand built by a metal craftsman. Fits my 2A like a glove. I’ve included pictures of the top on the Jeep to show actual fit. Jeep is not for sale. I am in the Terre Haute Indiana area. I’m asking $400 but would consider a reasonable offer. I just want it to be useful to someone looking for a nice hardtop.”
Over the last couple of days I’ve been sorting through Rusty’s parts and putting it back together so its easier to ship (It sold this week). It almost looks like a real jeep again. I started with the bare frame that Ann and I cleaned up prior to the Alaska trip in 2017.
I thought it would be easiest if I reinstalled the engine and tranny and gas tank for transport.
With the powertrain installed, the body and front clip went together pretty easily. The parts have been sorted and boxed. It’s just about ready to go.
UPDATE: Travis spotted this jeep. He noted that it’s been listed as an antique, which I would imagine circumvents the Craigslist fee. I suspect we’ll see more of that. One price is $1600 and another (in the text) is $1500. Body is fiberglass.
“1950 Willy Jeep Project
frame is done, have a V6 engine and trans

Almost all the part to put it together are there
$1,500 or best offer”
(10/08/2017) Scott’s selling this driver-ready CJ-5 with some history.
“CJ5 for sale. Old School. Email for specifics. 12k with winch, 10k without.
1977 CJ5. Former North Carolina forest service truck. Factory green under fleet green. 1/2 hardtop. Restored 60/40 bench seat. New Corbeau rear seat. 5 seat belts. 300 miles on gateway mudders. New Alcan Springs. New black Max shocks. New NAPA radiator and hoses, old modine radiator in good shape included. Replaced when I replaced thermostat. New M.O.R.E steering bracket and Borgeson steering shaft. New lower steering column bearing. New battery and starter cables. In process of switching cables to military connectors to wire in winch. Warn 8274 winch with remote, mint. Runs great, great on and off road. This is my camping, hunting, hiking vehicle. Only selling because a sweet M38 is for sale locally and I want it. Motor replaced 3k ago by PO. Newer exhaust by P.O., is solid but not the nicest welds.”
Tom wanted to have some t-shirts made with the design below on it. He’s wondering if anyone else would like some as well?
The price is $20 per shirt plus USPS priority shipping of $7.35 (shipping is the same for one or two shirts $27.35 or $47.35 for two shirts). If you are interested, you can either comment below or email Tom at Lsi24 @ msn.com (remove the spaces around the @). He expects to have about 40 available for sale.
The t-shirts would be a white Hanes Beefy shirt that is 100% cotton with a pocket. The vintage logos are based on the 1950 ‘jeep badge’ logo seen in a few ads. He’s only making a few and doesn’t plan on selling them anywhere else. The below are mock ups, so they aren’t quite exactly what you’ll get.
