UPDATE: This jeep was auctioned at some point on Mecum
Looks like a great price, maybe too good of a price. Something doesn’t seem right about this ad. Who advertises a mint M-38 by describing it with a “front tow package”? And, I’m not seeing an obvious tow package. This might be a scam ….

“1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep. original engine / transmission / rear PTO. Original paint and no rust repair no patches, all original sheet metal in great condition. a couple small rust spots behind front fenders but not worth fixing in my opinion. I have put 200 miles on this in the last week. Runs and drives excellent. lights works, engine is tuned up, brakes gone through all around and newer Bias ply tires. Clean and clear Indiana Title in my name. If your reading this its still available. can assist with shipping if needed. I will not respond to the “is this available” text.”
Jordan spotted this one. The body isn’t perfect and there are a few minor mods, but it looks in pretty good shape and includes an overdrive. It’s being sold by a dealer: http://newhavenautosales.com/
Hard to get far in that type of soft mud.

I wonder if the raft’s rowers had to do that all day, row vehicles and men back and forth across the river?
