About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“1946 CJ2A COLUMN SHIFT WITH M100 TRAILER. Just took it on a 400 mile trip at the end of September and it did great. New brakes and wheel cylinders all the way around. New voltage regulator. Very clean old jeep. Trailer is a M100. It has been redone from top to bottom. Has pintle hitch hookup. Jeep will come with pintle hitch if you buy both. I just haven’t put it on the jeep yet. Clean title on the jeep in my name. No title for the trailer. For this kind of money, I’m sure someone will want more pictures if interested. Just let me know and I can provide more.”
“1951 Willys M38 Jeep
Willys serial # MC24291. Oregon DMV assigned # DRF84972, this is the VIN on the title, they probably couldn’t find the tag behind the seat.
Powered by a Chevy 327 that runs good and actually makes it quite scary fast to drive.
Very good power steering and 11” brakes, it stops good.
3 speed transmission with over drive, 2 speed transfer with locking hubs.
It shifts good and doesn’t pop out of gear.
All lights, turn signals and gauges are working, good oil pressure and the charging system works.
No speedometer (see photos).
Twin fuel tanks, full roll cage, tilt wheel and good tires.
Has one small rust spot underneath (see photos) and a front end alignment is due.
All around a good solid old military jeep that is fast and entertaining to drive.
Clear California title.
California residents will be subject to DMV fees and 7.25% sales tax.
“1950 Willys Jeep CJ 3A, 4 X 4, total frame off restoration, new body. Motor, transmission, transfer case, axles, brakes, radiator, generator, starter, drive shafts all rebuilt and a lot of new parts on Jeep to much to list, but I have receipts on all of it. Also have roll bar, bestop cab with doors and bikini top.”
“Great ’48. Very clean original stock body. Engine is a Chevy 153 that runs, 40 lbs oil pressure, 12 volt with alt. with a new clutch, pressure plate & throw out bearing. This ’48 also has a roll bar & tow bar. Good solid undercarriage/floors. Two of the four hat channels do have rust (easy fix). Spare tire & rim included. Decent 31X10.5×15 tires. Original vin tag still riveted to frame. Could use better paint, brakes, & gas tank cleaned, plus tinkering.”
“Truck’s features:
– Super body. It spent most of its life in west Texas. After it was moved to Massachuesetts, it was never driven in the winter. No known Bondo. Very little rust – see the photos.
– GM 350 automatic transmission plus a Saturn overdrive and a 2 speed transfer case, giving 12 gears forward and 4 in reverse. Transfer case rebuilt with Timken bearings and special intermediate gear using tapered roller bearing instead of stock needle bearings (lasts much longer).
– Front steering rebuilt, including steering box. New front springs & shocks.
– Power brakes. Front auto-adjusting brakes newly rebuilt. Electric wiper motor.
– Holley Projection electronic fuel injection (EFI).
– Includes the missing sheet metal “bed skirts” under the bed (are in primer paint).
– The truck is the relatively rare early 50’s model with the split windshield, the small back window, and the “W” embossed on the tailgate.
– Clean title (Massachusetts) Continue reading →
“1947 Willy’s. The body is a new reproduction and it’s on a 1957 frame. It needs a full restoration but I have all the parts that were taken off to put the new body on. Also have the old body and a spare frame also. I would love to restore it but don’t have the funds to put into it.”
“Original Willys 1946 post World War II era jeep CJ2A for sale. very good condition. Made in Toledo Ohio. Clean title included. In storage. Engine not seized. Engine, frame, and body in great shape. Minor maintenance needed to make it road worthy. As is! A piece of history worth having! May consider a lower offer if it is reasonable for this original antique.”
“Its time to make some room for other projects, so my somewhat rare “Jeepster” has to go. Not many were made! These were only made for 3 years from 48′ to 50′ and are one of the rarer early Willy’s vehicles – don’t miss your chance to pick up a great example of this unique vehicle!
This project 1948 Willys Jeepster originally from southern California. Has the 134 cu in, 4 cylinder engine with 1barrel carb and 3-speed overdrive transmission all stock Jeepster. Body has all original paint and the interior has the seat frames and top bows. Car currently does not run, and needs a starter and fuel tank.
The good stuff:
This Jeepster is pretty much complete with all trim, but needs new glass (see pics)
Current tires will hold air for transport.
Rear “continental” spare tire mount all there (see pics)
Have original radio (currently out of vehicle)
Stuff that requires some TLC:
Has a few small rust through areas in the drivers/passengers floor, one small area near drivers rocker (see pics).
Retractable top is missing one latch
Missing glove box lock and has a damaged dash gauge assembly
Should be trailered, can’t be driven on trailer or car hauler.”
