This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a vintage Willys Jeep top – Possibly Koenig or Meyers top, Military Style Hard Top – no name plate.
Large glass is cracked ..smaller ones are good. Shows its age a few creases in the metal.
Pretty rare top, vent on top.
I’m told it’s for a 1940s to 50’s

The serial number listed (MD43849) would suggest an M-38A1, but maybe it’s a misprint and should be MB43849?

Original Navy Jeep with frame support for machine gun, mostly restored with a few exceptions as original for dependability and authenticity. For example, has Warn front lockout hubs.
All body parts—headlights, outside handles, axe mounting, brake and clutch pedals, fuel can and spare tire mount, etc.—and frame steam-cleaned and painted separately front and back sides with at least two coats quality WWII green paint, body undercoated. Body mounted on frame with felt pads.

“Motor was built by lead mechanic for mario Andretti, made 850 on alcohol, Oliver billet main caps 4 bolt main, solid roller cam with dart stud girdle, dart intake with 1050 quick fuel, Currie 9 inch rear end with fully upgraded internals,brand new fox 2.5 in rear with hydrolic bumps front and back, brand new fox shocks in the front and rebuilt 4 link. I had the trans and converter rebuilt by Mike’s transmissions cost almost 5k, rugged radio system with two headsets, prp seats and harnesses, bead locks front and rear. Motor is a 496 13.5:1 compression”
I’m not sure if this is in San Luis, Mexico, or just across the border from it in the US. No description provided.

The writing on this photo indicates this jeep with a wood top was located in Europe. It was odd enough I thought I’d buy the photo, which was on eBay.

“1947 Willy’s Jeep cj2a, in-line 4 cylinder with 3 speed manual trans. Runs well when the battery is charged. It needs some work on the electronics and wiring. Have replaced many parts on the engine so runs really well. Needs work on the brakes and it leaks a little oil just because it’s so old. Brand new carb, ignition coil,etc. comes with windshield even though some pictures don’t show it. Great jeep to restore. Will need to be trailered back”
