This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Our roving correspondent Dallas Durham was able to attend the 2019 Liberation Celebration from Pilsner, Czech Republic. He shared a few pics he took there. (I didn’t realize our correspondent budget was that good … I need to take advantage of an international trip .. hopefully, soon).

“47 WILLYS CJ2A Buick 231, WARN locking hubs, Dana 41’s front and back, D18 with Warn overdrive, brand new seats. New hoses, belts, new gel battery, and all fluids. Ran, purchased a new carburetor but have not tuned it yet.”

“1946 Willys Jeep Military/after world war 1 4×4 CJ2A Small 260 Ford V-8
Needs all grease seals and gaskets replaced as it has been sitting for 5 years the picture shows no windshield and one seat gone but we have them in storage also shows new paint except we never got around to painting the dash board. I am sure it will start and run just haven’t had it out for a long while. We have a new gas tank but haven’t installed it fully. Getting too old to put every thing back.”
