About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Willys Jeep for parts or project. Frame and body fair condition. L head motor can be turned over by hand, have not tried to start. Transmission/transfer case do not shift. Currently on different wheels and tires than pictured, white spoked wagon wheel style.”
If you look closely at the pic, you can see there’s diamond plating extending the hood so that is will reach the grill. An even closer look reveals a panel between the back of the fender and the cowl. The body is likely sitting on a post-1971 CJ-5 chassis.
“I have a 1949 willys jeep cj3. Disassembled it in 2009 and has been sitting since. Sandblasted a lot of the bad parts of the body and cut out all the rest. Started to weld some plates in and that’s where I stopped. Just haven’t had time to get back to it. I put the body back on to the frame just recently. All of the drivetrain is still in good shape I just got a gasket kit for the carburetor and cleaned it all out. I can show you that it starts and runs. I have the windshield fenders Hood and everything for it. Did have a new exhaust put on it right before it was parked as well as a new gas tank. I do have a clear Colorado title for it. 1200 firm I will not take any less.”
“Selling this rare T-1 westinghouse air compressor for a willys jeep or world war 2 jeep.
These were used for deflating and inflating tires on the battlefield or spraying paint or agricultural use.
VERY rare and it’s currently attached to an electric motor as a 1960’s home built air compressor but it works and can be easily removed and used on a jeep.”
The numbers at the bottom suggest to me the date of this brochure is September, 1961. But, this still has the split glass, so those numbers might not be referring to the date.
“47 cj for sale. Runs perfect. Just converted to 12 volt with alternator. Original 4 cylinder runs perfect. Doesn’t smoke. Low miles on engine and transmission rebuild. All brand new wheel cylinders, master cylinder, gas tank, sending unit. Brand new canvas seat covers. Extremely solid body with awesome green patina paint. Drives great. Needs lights wired up still. I may get to it. Tires in great shape. May trade for a really nice cj7 or a newer TJ or the perfect cj5. Clutch pedal rubs on floor a little but all these do. I have the bill of sale fromwhen I bought it in Alabama that allows you to title it in TN. I also have the roll bar for it.”
