Willys L-134 Superior, MT **SOLD**

UPDATE: **Sold** Was $800.

I wonder if this was an industrial engine.

wwII-engine-mt

“Flathead 4 cylinder Willy’s Jeep Engine, WW2 vintage. This engine starts on its own with just being choked (no other starting aids needed). Oil pressure is good, and there are no knocks, or crankshaft “Chuggle”.
The compression of this engine is 75-90 psi, and it can still carry a load (it was the powerplant for a functioning welder). There are traces of olive drab paints on parts of the engine, and the timing cover has the rivet in it that wartime Willy’s had. The serial number of the engine is MB546645. The additional numbers on the engine block are 1-11, 638632W2 A, and NI-CR N2 ( designators for a nickel-chromium iron block alloy; for those of you who don’t know, this hardened block material is one of the reasons that these engine run forever).
I believe that this engine could be dropped in and ran as-is for quite some time, or it would be an easy one to freshen-up with piston rings and a valve job. I prefer cash as method of payment. The engine is currently palletized, and is available for local pick up, or shipping arranged by the purchaser. These engines are not getting any easier to find, so even if you have a good engine in your Jeep, it might not be a bad idea to have a spare.”

Beck? Hardtop Comfrey, MN $250

Looks like a good price on what might be a Beck (or Kemco) hardtop. I can’t remember seeing one of these with barn doors. Looks like a good price.

1943 GPW Grass Valley, CA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB), MB This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500.

The front gussets have been removed and the frame reinforced. The rear lids appear to be MB (flat), but I the angle isn’t good to get a full view of them. The engine and tranny are civilian (not *period correct*, but functional). I’m sure it would make a fine parade jeep.

“This is one of the cleanest GPW’s you will find. Clean CA title in my name. Body is mint, likely rebodied or a lucky survivor? Many of the components have yet to be drilled or mounted. The frame is all ford as evidenced by the front cross member. Engine is Willy’s flat head, trans is t90, all period correct and acceptable conversions. I have the parts shown in the photo along with new data plates, and two f script front seat frames that need some work. This vehicle drives well, turns, stops, etc… I thought I would keep it forever but found an older one I had to have. Do your research, I will not negotiate over the phone, come look and fall in love with this great piece of history.”

“They are hard to find because only about 50,000 rolled off the production line. This is a great Jeep that my family has enjoyed. I’m selling it because I’ve moved onto another custom Jeep project so no room for this one in the garage. It is not in perfect shape or a show room car but for its age it is in good shape. I think the thing has been painted 3 or 4 times so the body is mostly rust free as well. there are a few areas that looks like some rust got painted over but it is isolated and was that way when I got it and has not grown (I have some pictures if you would like to see) Want to be upfront about everything. There is awesome hand-painted pin-striping on the Jeep – this is one main reason that I have not repainted it because of the history.
