(10/26/2018) A great vintage NW jeep with the bobcat hood and diamond plating. It runs and drives. Supposed to have an overdrive, too.

“1948 Jeep. Great condition. It runs great, the engine is original as far as we know and it sounds amazing. (See photo) The vehicle does go through batteries faster than normal but I really don’t know what normal is for this age. I have found that disconnecting the battery when parked for extended periods of time help preserve the battery. Also we have stored this Jeep with an empty and cleaned out carborator!!!! (Keep in mind this is 70 years old! So when I say it’s in great shape I mean it’s in great shape for its category)”

This does appear to have an MB/GPW frame (see the rear shock mount), but much of the rest looks civilian.

Personal Jeep owned many years by a particular owner. This is a rare early production model built in 1942 by Willys for government issue.
