About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Looks like there are four tires. None appear to have rims.
“Sand paddles that I used for my Willys jeep.
Only ran a couple times. Don’t want them to just keep sitting in my shed.
250$ come and get them.
Like I said only used a couple times so practically brand new”
“Unmolested Survivor.
All Original with aftermarket cab that is as old as the jeep.
Would be a small job to restore. Just needs paint really but I like the current patina even better so I won’t paint it if I keep it.
Set up by a previous owner as a pig hunting jeep. Has gun racks, handle bar for rider in back etc.
Tow bar works very well at freeway speeds. Starts quicker than my modern cars. Original 6 volt wiring. Running an 8 v battery which is one of the reasons it starts so easy. Original heater works great. Drives nice around town and legal for the freeway but it is slow. The dash info plate shows it will go 60 in 3rd gear high range ( and it will ) but it likes 50 mph a lot better. E brake not hooked up but I have it. Both fuel gauges read 1/2 when the tanks are full which I’m told can be fixed by adjusting the voltage. Everything else works. Locking front hubs, new military tires. It will practically climb a tree in low range 4×4. Gets tons of looks. Current reg, clean title in my name. Really fun jeep. I’m not hot to sell her but I have too many toys and my daughter is getting married so its time to let someone else have some fun. $5,900 obo CASH only – local pick up only.”
Here’s an interesting, early illustration by Rockwell Kent. It’s on a fine art website, which in part explains the price. If the link below does not work, go here https://www.1stdibs.com and enter “jeep” into the search field.
“This original drawing was created for an advertisement by General Electric for its portable power generators, here shown powering a saw wielded by two lumberjacks. Attributed to Rockwell Kent, who did many illustrations for GE and other companies to support his family and travels, it captures the kind of isolated, tree-covered scene that Kent so cherished. Beautifully rendered, it is an excellent example of the kind of graphic work recently celebrated in an exhibit at the New York State Museum in Albany. Note, too, the Jeep, which had been introduced during World War II and had come to represent tough, dependable transportation.”
UPDATE: Mike has convinced me that the “convertible top” may actually be snow. You can see some snow on the truck behind the wagon, too.
Bob Christy’s been sick the past few days, but that didn’t stop him hunting for jeeps in the Godfather movies. Here’s he’s found an unusual wagon in the Godfather II that appears to have a soft and a spare on the passenger side. The single pane windshield suggests 1960-1963. Anyone ever seen this one or have thoughts on it?
The doors on this look well built. I wish they showed the doors open.

“1947 Willys Jeep
Basically all original, runs and drives great.
Little to no rust.
4cylinder motor – 3speed trans
No title at this time, but I may have that taken care of soon.”
It runs. Looks like the top and doors may be in good shape. Includes a working plow.
“For Sale WITH TITLE is a 1959 Willy’s CJ5 with extras. I bought this a couple months ago to build it, and now we decided to sell our house. So, I have nowhere to go with it! I’m a little miffed, but it is what it is.
With a little squirt of gas into the carb, even on the coldest days, this little gas rocket fires right up. I don’t know much about it being I’ve only had it for a couple of months and havent really touched it outside of adjusting the brakes so it would role better. What I do know is, it needs to be completely gone through. It’s been bastardized by more than a couple people by the looks of it. The good news is that the motor runs well (will need some carb work to work best), and it has a couple of additional things with it. Continue reading →
