Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have two 1953 M38A1 projects. One is all original 24 V system which does run but needs a carburetor and ignition coil which I can provide. Included is a new fuel line kit which it will need. The brakes do not work. The body is rough but comes with front and rear brand new floor panels rear tailgate section and toolbox. The other 53 is a restoration in progress complete chassis has been gone through with all new brakes,seals,brake lines, etc. All the heavy lifting work has been completed for you. T90 transmission and T18 transfer case have been rebuilt, engine has all new seals with the exception of rear main seal. Engine is yet to be tested. This vehicle comes with a new old stock body with very minor surface rust on the passenger side, standard windshield frame, hood and new CJ5 fenders (easily converted) Front seats and a whole bunch of extra parts.
Anything that I have that is M38A1 related goes with the total package. I have one set of new batteries for the vehicles. Too many small items to list . Serious inquiries only price is firm please no lowballing . I have one title for the green Jeep and to spare engines to go with it both engines are frozen most likely due to sitting.”

• Original engine, frame, and body with matching serial numbers
• T84 transmission rebuilt by Northwest Military Vehicles
• Rebuilt transfer case and
• Overhauled engine, all new bearings, seals, shock mounts with new old stock GPW head installed.
• New exhaust manifold
• New wheel bearings
• New brake system: master cylinder, all 4 slave cylinders, and all lines
• 6 volt system.
• New Transmission crossmember installed with new shock mounts
• New exhaust pipe.
• Rebuilt steering gearbox with new steering wheel
• Receipts for all new parts and work log
• Original owners manual
• Black Bestop soft top with doors, not installed.
Incomplete:
• New rear frame piece is not installed
• Original war era carburetor needs to be rebuilt, have kit
• Body handles, side mirror, windshield block not installed
• Original oil bath air filter needs to be cleaned out and installed.
• Engine not completely broken in after rebuild
• Body tube is pretty rough, will need replacement or substantial repair work.
Not original:
• C2JA windshield.
• Passenger seat.
• Voltage regulator
• Aluminum wheels

“1946 willys jeep cj2a.
Body is patched and welded and looks 70 years old but its completely solid. Most of the body parts are heavier guage metal than stock and nothing is weak or rusted.
Engine is an l134 4 cylinder. Runs well.
Transmission and transfer case were rebuilt. New clutch. All work well.
Both axles were redone and work well with no leaks.
Radiator is new.
Brake system cylinders and lines are all brand new and work well.
The steering drives straight and tires are new period correct.
The jeep does everything it did in 1946 and about as well or better.
Its got a clean nj title. Runs and drives well and has been on the road most of this summer.
It needs lights wired in and temp guage and fuel guage wired in. New wiring harness is about 300 to 350. I dont drive it at night so havent gotten around to that yet.
Lots of spare parts come with it.
Im pretty firm on price.”
