About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“1947 Willys Jeep with 45,311 orig. miles. Comes with the original flat head 4 motor. Front counter weight which is very rare.
Original Willys tailgate. 4×4 with high/low 3-speed transmission also original. Note: This is not a high speed vehicle. It is 70 years old and the body and frame is in very good condition for its age. Its been stored inside not seeing any salt or snow. We have owned it for app. 15 years with no major issues. Reason for selling: Out grown & not enough room for all of our little grandchildren. A fun summer toy. Here is my contact info. We will only respond to interested parties leaving their phone number.
If you don’t leave a phone you will get no response. If this is not enough photos you might just have to come and take a look.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1700. The gray body is from a 1956 or 1957 DJ-3A. It appears to have the King Seely 0-8 or 0-9 speedometer. The frame looks to be 2A.

“This is a 1942 Ford GPW
Mostly original
Many F-stamped bolts
Ford script body
F-stamped transmission transfer case and head with a civilian block.
Runs, drives, and stops
Springs sag, wiring not good, body not perfect.
Bought from the Dragon Man with the intention of rebuilding it.
I fixed the tranny – got it running and started driving it.
However, my neighbor, who is a big time antique hoarder, urges me to stop working on it. “First rule when obtaining a collectable antique is you don’t touch, don’t paint it, nothing. It will ruin it. Even if somebody did something to it incorrectly before you.”
So I am doing my duty to my country by offering this up to any so called collector.
I am open to good offers! Otherwise, I can go back to the only part of the house I can somewhat think of as mine… where my hammer, saw, and torch are ready to get back to work and I’ll have a clear conscious that at least I tried to do the right thing.”
Here’s the contest overview roughly translated into English:

Greg alerted me to this project that runs. It’s got Overland Diesel’s Kubota swap kit.
“Dad was a military vehicle enthusiast, collector, and master restorer for nearly 50 years. This is a frame off restoration. This restoration is particularly unique as this jeep was converted from gas to a turbo diesel. This 1953 Willys was the last project he took on before exiting this world last year. My dad had some really good military vehicle friends committed to help me get this project wrapped up to this point where it is now ready to transition to a new owner. This jeep is 90% complete with fresh new paint, new body, new tires, new windshield glass, new seats, and more. Jeep starts, runs, stops, and looks great! The new owner can enjoy the satisfaction of performing the final finishing touches such as wiring, emergency brake cable, exhaust system/muffler.
See videos below of the Jeep being started and driven.
Jeep located in Sarasota, Florida. Can assist with pickup/shipping.
Good luck bidding!!
