This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (06/21/2018) Apparently, this was a mail jeep. It’s got a top that fits it (CJ-6 top perhaps?). It runs, it drives, and is a bit different.
“1946 Willys cj2a has had lots of new parts on it over the past couple years new brakes rebuilt carburetor rebuilt generator(still on 6 volts), new tires inner tubes and powder coated wheels I know I’m going to forget alot of stuff. The only issues that I had with it are that it leaks and burns oil. So no long distance trips with it. It does run it does Drive and the 4 wheel drive works. High and low. I know I’ve spent more than $2,000 in Parts on it, for instance the wheels and tires alone where a thousand plus almost $800 for the brake system. master cylinder and all, just to name a few. It’s not pretty but it works. I’m looking to get $3,500 for it CASH only. Price is negotiable slightly. Thanks and there’s one thing I forgot to mention it used to be a mail truck back in the day and I do have the steel top that was originally on it. That’s why the body is extended about 12 inches in the back.”

“Very rare late 40’s Bantam TC-3 trailer for parts or repair. Frame is very good, Original coupler and landing leg intact. Body is beat to death, New body is available for $950. If you are a genius with metal work this body could be hammered back into shape, very minor rust. original reflectors and tail light also intact, replacement light lens in available. other parts for sale;
Pair of M100/Bantam fenders. $150
M100 axle with brakes. $150
Bantam springs. $50
Willys/Jeep Wheel with hubcap clips, 16×5. $100

“I have two WW2 Ford GPW Jeep projects for sale.
1. 1943 Ford GPW rolling chassis and body. Frame will need repairs, body very rough. Frame number and body number match. No engine or trans included, however I have non working F script trans and transfer I will include at additional cost. This would be a good candidate for a replacement body. Clear Idaho title in my name. $1000.
2. 1945 Ford GPW restored chassis and replacement body, including front fenders. Includes F script transmission and bell housing. This has been a running Jeep. I am keeping the engine and wheels pictured for another project, but I have wheels and tires for it. This is a very nice looking Jeep and would be an easy project to complete. Clear Idaho title in my name. $5000.”

Listed as a 1943, it has rear floaters, but also has an MB/GPW body. The grille tilts, but the hinges are reversed. I suspect it’s an M-38 body on a WWII chassis.

“I am selling a nice WW2 USMC jeep. It started life as a mz2 radio jeep used to send radio messages from shore to ship. It has never been off its frame as it still has its original frame bolts. Does have a grill and windshield just off of it currently. Comes with 3 motors and a bunch of other radio parts but will sell without the radio parts for cheaper.”
