About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Really cool 1951 Jeep “Willys”
4×4 3 speed 4 cylinder
In nice shape, paint is pretty good, tires have miles to go and seats are decent. Large winch and tow bar in front and trailer hitch in back.
Just installed new points, condenser and cleaned and sealed the gas tank
I have all documentation.”
“The Jeep is is great shape for being almost 70 years old. It has a Chevy 350 in it, aftermarket steering, new tires and winch, new seats. This Jeep has the original three speed so it’s just a cruiser on the road. Needs a little love here and there. I would love to trade for something in the Offroad world. Ideally a wrangler or something a little more kid friendly.”
Looks good. I suspect the trailer is NOT included.

Bill shared this former Tahoe Fire Department Jeep. Pretty neat!
“From Korea to California, this Willys/Jeep has seen it all. If this Jeep could talk! Plenty of war wounds to let your mind run wild.
Hi, I’m selling my 1952 M38A1 Willys. The Willys has seen a very colorful life, starting with its tour of duty during the Korean War era to its rebirth as a rim fire Willys Jeep, putting out rim fires along the Northern Sierras in the Tahoe National Forest. Bumps and bruises tell the story of the life of this non-stop built to do service, Willys. 90 thousand original miles. All of the Military accessories are still on the Willys and intact. The Willys has never let me down. This is a numbers matching Jeep! Fresh tuneup, fresh rebuilt carb, This Willys is turn key and ready to go, and is a blast to drive. The ‘ol Willys get thumbs up everywhere we go, and, I’ve never washed it, the Willys has earned the dirt and dust that this workhorse wears! Below is a bit of history in regards to the legacy of the Willys M38A1….Enjoy!

“I have a 1952 willys m38 Jeep for sale no rust what so ever! has new 350 motor, funding a Saginaw 4 spd mated to a Dana 18 tcase with stock axles and springs. The axles do have 5.29s in the I believe from factory. Have a set of 33 inch Procomp Xterrain tires that are basically brand new. I have a t18 tranny mated to a Dana 300 t case I was going to put in it and a Dana 30 and amc20 axles I got for it too. It will need a alternator conversion from the generator unless you want to use a generator and get a new one and Will need a hydraulic clutch or a clutch cable because the old cable broke. asking $7500 or best offer runs right now but will need those couple things to drive”
“Up for sale is a 1944 Ford GPW Jeep. Needs a lot of work. Project vehicle.
It was inherited from family member who passed away. Unfortunately this means we don’t know a ton about the jeep, just that Grandpa used to drive it around his property and in the parades in local towns. It was his pride and joy, a replica of the same jeep he drove in Vietnam as a mail man in the army. It was his passion vehicle and hopefully it can be someone elses as well!
We have videos of the car running if you would like to see them just let us know in an email.
Currently on non-op status with DMV. Pink slip in hand
Here is some info from a Willys enthusiast that viewed the 44′-
“FYI: It appears what you have is a WWII chassis and front clips (fenders/grille/hood) with a CJ-2A or CJ-3A body. In addition, the steps on the body have been modified and the drain holes on the sides have been filled. The rear of a 2A and 3A body should have a tailgate, but it appears to be filled in on this one. The windshield is aftermarket or from an M-38. The front and rear bumpers have been modified. The rims looks to be a from a 2A or 3A, but aren’t WWII. ““
“I am selling a 1953 Willy’s Jeep that will make a great project for someone, it was part of an estate sale so the original owner never got a chance to finish it. The pictures show everything that we have with it.”
