Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I’ve seen full-color postcards of this image (see bottom image), but not a black & white press photo. Seller lists this as a 1954, but I doubt it was any earlier than late 1955.

“I have for sale a 1947 Jeep Willys CJ2-A project that had I started as a complete overhaul.
All of the parts need to be rebuilt or reassemble.
The frame is from South Carolina and in great condition. It is currently coated with POR-15.
* There are still missing parts to complete the build.

Listed as a 1943, I can’t see anything of that era on it. The front frame rails have been replaced.
