This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “A very special preservation of a nice station wagon. Body work done about 2000, including cab floor replacement w/ plate steel. New lacquer paint 2017. Engine professionally replaced 1 yr ago with good running Mercedes 3.0 5 cylinder diesel and Mercedes automatic transmission, including new driveline. New exhaust system. Electric fan w/ oil and transmission cooler. Interior done in the style of vintage woodies, with slat roof. Its 90% done, here’s what it needs still: heater installed (its provided). Some side glass replacement (wind wings, drivers side.) Needs better rear axle ratio– its now 4.88 and the MB transmission is geared to something like 3.49 to achieve a highway capable speed. Rear bumper is older chrome and is aged. Brakes all good and working, new master cylinder included for a later date if needed. Clean WA title. Its a very nice preservation, made for fun and touring.”

Runs and drives, but does have some rust and needs some work.
“For Sale: 1947 CJ2a Willys Jeep. The Jeep is fairly original and is still six volts. Have clear title and is currently licensed as a historic vehicle. It does run and drive but needs attention with a good tune up, carb rebuild, transmission needs attention, steering, etc. all usual things an old vehicle like this might need. The tub does have the rust typical of the old Jeeps. The sale includes a service manual, parts manual and a 1947 owner’s manual. Also a spare WO carb with a new carb rebuild kit, five new Firestone NDT 600 X 16 tires, five new inner tubes, two wheels, a spare front grill, inner windshield frame, TightSteer accessory and other misc parts to numerous to mention.”

Transfer case: Dana 20
Front axle: Dana 27A with 4.27 gears
Rear axle: Fully rebuild 30spline Dana 44 with Detroit Locker and 4.27 gears
Brakes: 10in front and 11in rear power drum brakes.
Shifter: B&M shifter.
Tires: 33×12.5×15
Wheels: 15in American Racing wheels
Extra: Dana 30 front axle from 1973 Cj5 needs rebuild
Dana 30 rear axle from with 4.27 gears
Also comes with tow bar and tow lights.
Jeep is fully registered with pink slip in hand.”

“taken the body off and sand blasted the frame and painted it with POR 15, aswell as the under side of the tub. Color, Viper Snake skin paint, the only rust on the jeep was in the tool box under the passenger seat that has been treated with the POR15 as well. The 33″ super swampers are no longer on it, it now has 31″ tires mounted on alumni rims.”

Has at least some parts value. Seller has no idea what it is worth.

“Here’s a Willys Jeep posting this for my nephew he has had it for a couple years he just doesnt use it much anymore. Very cool little Jeep would be great for on a farm or a toy for in the woods. Runs and drives good its amazing the places these things will go. Has some new parts on it and already converted to 12 volt charge system. Frame is in great original condition not all rusty or patched up. Came with bill of sale when he bought it and will be sold the same.”
