About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
What’s with the wall next to the transfercase shifters? I’ve never seen that.

“TEMPORARY LOWER PRICE, I bought a new house and will be moving in late may, I do not want to have to trailer the CJ on top of my other project, and the new place does not have a garage to store it in. The price will go back up once I move.
Selling my ’57 CJ-6, it’s a blast to drive around but I have decided that I need something a bit bigger for a 4×4 that I can drive around town a little easier. This CJ-6 is old school and will only go around 45mph before running out of gear (manual 3 speed on the floor).
The CJ-6 is the factory extended version of the CJ-5 and shares all parts (aside from the frame and body panels) with one, if it bolts to a CJ-5 it will bolt to the much cooler and less likely to roll over CJ-6.
It has a brand new roll cage built by 369 here in Bend ($1400), also has brand new soft top and doors that I never got around to installing that will go with it from Bestop (also $1400). Has dual fuel tanks with selector. Cheapo 12k winch but it does work.
Soft top has two different frames, the one on the Jeep in the pictures is a custom frame, there is a smaller and less noticeable frame that came with the top as well.
A set of metal full doors will come with it as well but they are in rough condition and will need significant restoration. Continue reading →

“Very unique Jeep. 26k original miles. Great shape for its age. Currently does not run, there is hole in the gas tank and the carb is off and it doesn’t have a battery. But if you hook it up to a battery it will turn over, hurricane 6 cyclinder. Not for sure, but I believe this rig was originally a fire truck. Title in hand. ‘
“1949 Willys Jeep. No engine or trans. Rough, but restorable. Lots of extra parts. WA title. $750 obo, will consider trades. Please come look at it rather than text for info, if possible.”
Rick shared these unusual hubcaps. Given the single “J” on them, I’d guess these were produced by Cutlas Manufacturing? At the bottom is an example of “J” branded hubcaps by Cutlas.
This is an interesting photo. It was found on film captured from Germans.
“1945 Press Photo German troop leader folds glasses while jeep burns in Germany.

German troops, the leader clasping a pair of field glasses, walk along a field bordering a road on which an American jeep burns beside another tank vehicle somewhere on the western front. this photo is from German film captured by America forces.
