About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Asking $7500 obo. This jeep is in very nice riding shape, basically all original, 6V system. Runs great drives well, the steering needs some adjustment but we drive this thing all over town just fine. I have the stock wheels and a set of 32.5s, you pick which set you want. I have a clean clear title in my name.”
“Nice running Jeep. New master cylinder just needs a brake bleeding. Been rebuilt, professionally to run one unleaded fuel. New radiator. Body and decent shape and floor boards are real good shape. $4900”
“I have a 1963 CJ-6 it’s military issue It has a 3 speed manual and 4 cylinder f134 motor Pros It’s had work done on it new brakes new lines new fuel filter and carburetor new distributor and new starter etc I have photos of proof from the shop that had it done Cons It currently doesn’t start it cranks but doesn’t start it has the stock no seatbelts or airbags feature also no headlights It’s a project car that could be worth a lot when someone puts the work in it I’m still working on it and price will go up if I’m able to get it running good 6500$ firm”
“Clear title. I have the hood, fenders and tailgate. The hood is the only part not pictured that is rust free. The engine in it is locked. I do have a second F-head engine that will be included that had been removed from a running 1960 model (I believe), extra front axle, and lots of extra odds and ends”
“Original cast iron 2wd front axle out of a 60s willys DJ3a delivery jeep
Perfect for a sand jeep, gasser or rat rod build
Pahrump 89048
Local pickup only”
“Daily driver. Has a six cylinder engine. Good tires. It’s been a fun project vehicle. Running condition. Being sold as is. Cash only no trades. I will consider reasonable offers.”
This is worth a look. It includes a Koenig hardtop and a PTO winch. It has a few updates, including a heavy duty rear bumper and a steering wheel that I don’t recognize.
“very solid Kaiser built CJ-5 restoration project, V-6 Dauntless (Buick) engine in running condition, working snowplow, excellent tires, transmission and clutch in working order, new fuel pump and filter, I flushed the fuel tank and lines which are very clean and rust free, recent oil change, other than surface rust there is no rust rot on the vehicle, floor is solid,
it runs and drives, doesn’t smoke, there is a title but it was signed in the wrong places by the previous owner and DMV wants a new title which requires submitting the existing title and a certified vin verification but CSP will not issue a vin verification unless the vehicle is roadworthy meaning all the lights, horn and wipers work, or you could just bond for a new title…
it also needs a battery, the emission air pump is seized and disconnected, the manual choke cable is stuck and needs replaced or lubed, drivers door latch needs a little work, there are some seeping seals and gaskets but the drivetrain seems in solid condition, some play in the steering, brakes work but could use attention, it was purchased new in Steamboat Springs, lifelong Colorado vehicle and sat in a field for a few years when the fuel pump went out, the odometer reads 05336, so I assume it’s rolled over, a great candidate for restoring though it wouldn’t take much to get it basic working condition and plow your drive. Email questions and contact info”
There’s still some work to be done, but this seems to have potential. Thanks to Andy for sharing it.
“`55 Willys pickup. body and interior mostly finished, Hurricane 226 engine run well but now after sitting a year a couple of valves stuck (remove subject cyl plug and gently tap down as it is turned over). Working plow frame and hydraulics. new gear reduction starter with maybe loose connections or just bad starter.New fuel tank. Decent tires. Bed deck needs replacing, have done nothing to frame and running gear or brakes due to heart problems. new windshields, new seats, lots of rotted body metal replaced. has to be finished but should not take a lot of either time or money. Have more time and money in it than asking price…be nice.”
