About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“I have a 47 jeep willys project I would like to trade for for something different, like a older chevy I can put my 409 in. The jeep has has 2.3l iron duke engine with 33″ Mickey Thompson baja claws, the 4×4 works well and it runs and drives, also has new fuel tank. The body has lots of Bondo in it from previous owners, let me know what you have, cash price is 1500”
“1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep in driving condition with title. A lot has been done and it wouldn’t take much to have it to the next level. I just had the drivetrain gone through and included, new radiator, new ignition, replace and reseal cylinder head, replace and reseal steering box, new carburetor, replace and reseal transmission, new brakes, plus more. The body had come off and had sandblasted then treated rust with Ospho, primed and painted. There are a few rust spots in the body but minimal.
Frame is in great shape. I drive this Jeep around and get the old thumbs up everywhere I go. The Jeep is registered and titled to be driven on the street which is a huge hassle in itself. It really doesn’t need anything to drive away but the body could use some additional repair to be 100%. This is powered by the original L head motor and the hi lo and the 4 wheel drive are operable.”
“Jeep TUB, perhaps a CJ2A; not really sure of the year or who actually made it; I was informed it’s a 46/47 CJ2A (however, you may know better)! … no engine, trans, wheels, etc… just the “TUB”…. been sitting on the property for many years… no other info available.. see pics..”
“This is a good running period correct flathead 4cyl. 3 spd 4WD. 600×16 military lug tires, extra set of 15″ chrome wheels. 8000# winch, extra parts including transmission and transfer case, (pops out of 2nd under compression), transmission and clutch may have 1000 miles, unsure due to no working odometer. Best hunting rig I have ever had but we are selling out and downsizing so it is time to say goodbye. I have owned it for about 15 years.”
(07/30/2015) It’s fairly early at #30470. Has column shift.
“Original 6 Volt
All Lights Work
Vacuum Wipers Good
1954 New Engine installed by Kelly Motors, Fon Du Lac, WI.
Used for Plowing Only
Would Make a Nice Trail Rig”
“For sale cj6. It has dual gas tanks from factory, new seats, new carburetor, and steel cab. Frame and body has some surface rust, it is not rusted out. It starts, runs, and drives well. It was running last weekend. Don’t have time to restore.”
“Due to health reasons I am selling my 1948 CJ2-A. This is a true unmolested Willys Jeep; the four cylinder drive train is all original. Yes — EVERYTHING works: gauges, 4-wheel drive, high and low range, and even has a roll bar. Things I’ve added — new electric wipers (last summer), ordered a new hinge over windshield(inner and outer), as well as a deluxe tiger top with removable doors and zip out windows — all have been professionally installed. Items were purchased from www.KAISERWILLYS.com.
I had the seats covered with waterproof canvas, new carburetor, new gas tank (2 years ago). Jeep comes with some original parts: wheels ,vacuum operated wiper motor, and passenger side hand operated wiper. I also have the frame for the original canvas top and a few other odd and ends. Also comes with a nice tow bar; with 2″ ball not installed and a year correct matching trailer (in decent shape but no tail-gate–not rusted out)–will not separate Jeep and trailer. To be 70 years old this Jeep is mechanically sound. It fires right up and runs like a top.
The $5800.00 is a firm and fair price. CASH ONLY.
I don’t need any help selling the Jeep nor do I want to trade.
I have clear title in hand.”
