Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “48 CJ 2A Willy’s Jeep Street rod, 77 Buick 231 V6, 350 TH 78 AMC 20 rear end W/3.55 gears, Brand New seats, Brand New 7 gal. Aluminum tank, Brand New yellow paint, brand new LED taillights, brand new tach, plus gauges, Aluminum Wing on top (sort of like a Sprint car style), brand new windshield, brand new fender well headers W/12″ cherry bomb mufflers and turnouts, newly polished centerline front and rear (3″-10″), 1970 MGB frontend moved ahead 16″(so ahead of grill like the old Sand drag Jeeps) which gives 11″ disc and rack and pinion steering and independent suspension. “1947 CJ2A with 289 4 speed trans. Engine runs and things shift like they are supposed to. With cab, seats are not original nor are they bolted down clean title not currently licensed. OBO I can send specific pictures if needed.”

“Jeep FJ-6 1966 right hand drive. Old post office fleet van. Engine is junk but comes with another one that’s good. Frame is solid, body is galvanized so almost no rust, does have some dents. I don’t really want to sell it as it’s a personal project of mine but I wont be getting to it for a long time so I’ll just leave it posted if someone wants it bad enough. My plans are to bag it and slam it, but it uses a CJ5 chassis so you could easily make it a fun 4×4 rig.”

Thursday and Friday I finally painted the interior. The color is rattle-can Red Apple Gloss. It nearly matches the exterior color, but is slightly brighter. As noted before, it’s literally just some lipstick to clean up what was there and to help preserve the metal a little longer before I can get the cab removed for a proper media blast, repairs, and paint.

Here’s an odd ball toy that the seller suggests is from Marx. I can’t confirm that. The seller is only asking $5 for it.
