About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Blaine shared this CJ-5 Super Jeep for sale. As the seller notes, this has been rebuilt to some degree. It looks to me like the driver floor and box have been rebuilt, among other changes. Perhaps the seller has original pics of this before it was rebuilt, because I can’t tell if this was originally a Super Jeep or not. I do know the decals can still be purchased. Based on the Archive.org’s saved version of the superjeep.info website, it can be hard to distinguish a regular jeep from a Super Jeep.
“1973 CJ 5 super jeep with original 304 v8 I restored most of this a few years back for my dad who never got to enjoy it as cancer took him away it was his pride and joy and mom is not doing good as life changes so must we I have to let it go feel free to call with any questions to many parts to put down just about every thing has been replaced”
“This 1957 Jeep FC-150 needs some love but it’s pretty complete, motor is stuck. I don’t have the title but I have started the process to obtain a new Washington title.”
“All new brake lines, shoes, springs, master cylinder. New spark plugs, wires, carburetor rebuild. This has a fiberglass body. Many bad frame repairs over the years, see pictures”
“1946 Willys cj2a , starts runs 4x 4 works. Needs master cylinder otherwise brakes would work fine. Has new fuel pump and new 6 volt battery. Body needs lots of work. Have clean title in hand!”
“Sigh… finally giving into age and have decided there isnt enough time left for all my projects. Someone younger and more ambitious needs to step-up. Price is for both”
(12/12/2024) I’d buy this one. The dogs have plenty of tread (for racing) and it includes a rear PTO gearbox setup. Body appears solid. this should not last long. If you buy it, I may just drive on over and buy the tires and rims off you!
“For Sale! Incomplete 1951 JEEP WILLYS CJ3A, Rear PTO option, 4cyl, manual trans, 10-15LT Desert Dog. CLEAN TITLE. 2 Sets of wheels and tires, misc parts in the vehicle. Seen prices all over the place so we will offer this up for $4500 Cash. Elmwood, NE #StoveCreekAutoSalesandServiceLLC #midwestratrods Asking 4500 obo Elmwood Nebraska”
(03/03/2024) TJ shared this M-38 (thought title reads CJ-3A), nicknamed Colonel Mustard. It’s got some updated running gear, along with a some other mods, including a metal hood that reminds me a little of a Bobcat fiberglass hood.
“Meet colonel mustard. Title says it’s a 1953 CJ3A. I had plans for this Jeep but honestly have too many Jeeps. The previous owner did a in line 6 swap with a later model syncro’d 3 speed transmission. It also has a later model open knuckle big brake Dana 30. It currently has an offset Dana 44 with a Dana 18 transfer case. It will come with an additional Dana 20 transfer case and centered Dana 44 rear to complete the more modern drivetrain. The body is in remarkable shape for its age. There are no rust holes and I believe it’s the original floor. This is a perfect starter project. It has what I assume is a 2.5-3 inch lift. It currently has 31s and will clear 33s. The engine ran when parked but has started a several years. Sad to see it go but it needs a new home”
This eight-page holiday issue is the final issue of 1965 (only 6 issues produced). Page one introduces the first luxury Wagoneer, the Jeep Super Wagoneer. Page two highlights the growing demand for contract plowing. Page three continues the luxury wagon discussion, while also noting that parts can make an “attractive store display”; so, when you start hanging parts in the living room, just show your partner this article and how it can be actually attractive (good luck with that, lol).
Pages four and five share more on Gladiator and Wagoneer vehicles. Page six shows off an unusual display in Peru, while the new Kaiser Argentina Model 101 four-door jeep is depicted. Page seven shares news on the Afton Canyon excursion in Southern California, which is the first I’ve heard of this annual trip. It drew 398 vehicles in 1965.
Page eight includes a story on a New Jersey M-38 fire jeep. Also on the page is a photo of Col. Dave Harbour, an outdoor writer who drove his wagon 100,000 miles, being presented with a model jeep, but I can’t tell what kind of model it is.
