About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1942 Willys Jeep from World War II. Starts, runs and drives. 4 wheel drive works good. Changed over to 12 volt system with Chevy alternator and electric fuel pump. Everything else is original.”
“Runs and Drives. needs some finishing up with lights. 4×4 and hi lo shifters work. Left front hub fell off Last time I had it out. Clear AZ title. All Fluids changed. New starter and carb. Gas tank cleaned and sealed. Rust in floor boards.”
Since the Jeep has sat a few years, I hooked up a battery and it cranked right over. But 2 valves are stuck “up”, I pulled the side cover and can see which ones they are. I began removing the head. Once you unbolt the head you can push them up/down to free them up. I have another Jeep restoration taking up time.
Once valves are free this would be a great running project. Good frame, shifts smooth, nice windshield.”
No pics provided. Listed as a 1951, this has a column shift, but also has a gapped windshield for a big gun?
“Up for sale is a 1951 Willys Jeep. This jeep is very rare, with a windshield made for a canon barrel. Three speed on the column with original shifter handle and seat . No rust . New aluminum radiator, Hoses, plug wires. Ready for restoration.”
“1954 willys jeep 3b 4wheel drive 4cyl l-head total original garaged 18 yrs driven casually or to shows 10,000 appraised sacrifice 7500.00 showroom quality must see 100% 1000.00 discount if bought next 15 days”
(02/09/2017) Just how many of these custom hardtop flatties are there?
“Willys CJ2 like you have never seen before. Has mid 1940s Chevy cab grafted by a coachworks company to a CJ frame. 4 wheel drive 3 speed manual. This has just been gone through mechanically and has been painted OD Green bedliner after being taken down to bare metal. 31″ tires. A fun vehicle for hunters or campers. Can tow behind vehicle.”
It was busy at this year’s Great Willys Picnic. Thanks to Craig for sharing these photos.
There were 84 Willys and around 25 people selling parts etc.! They included a modern Jeep section with 35 Wranglers, a few CJ’s, and even a 54 Chevy pickup. The intimate nature of the Willys Picnic is a nice contrast to the huge Bantam Festival that also occurred this weekend, which most definitely has a more commercial and newer jeep focus.
“1952 M38 Jeep. Excellent running condition. Driven daily. New top. Electrical system converted to 12 volt with a Delco-Remy alternator. Has had typical rust, but has been repaired. Good upholstery on seats”
