About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The good:
-Clean title
-All info plates present
-New tires on original 15″ rims
-New valves, valve guides, and lapped seats
-Cylinders honed and rings replaced
-Comes with a complete new brake kit from Walck’s (not installed)
-Very little rust. A couple of little pinholes under the gas tank and one dime sized hole in the front right fender.
-New tires
The “needs attention”:
-The body is pretty banged up from years of being a working Jeep. My intention was to get it going and embrace the character.
-Gas tank is an older aftermarket and it doesn’t fit very well.
-Missing passenger seat and air filter
-Has a late 40’s L134 with a CJ2A engine mount plate. Comes with the correct CJ3A plate, which will need to be installed. The previous owner made an adapter to mount the engine, but the better solution is the put the correct plate on.
This is a neat old ranch Jeep. It probably isn’t a candidate for a fine restoration, but it would make for a really fun farm or hunting truck. It is a project. The engine runs well, but all other systems will need to be gone through.”

“Clean title 1947 williys jeep with a 302. 302 looks fresh, but non running as it needs a few things. Good body is relatively rust free except one cab corner and a few small holes. Drive train looks to be intact and connect. It’s a project I have and I’ll get to in time just figured I’d put it up for trade to see if someone wants it more. Looking for older fords or toyotas, 4×4 manual preferred, 87 crown vic, older ford wagon, small ford rollback pre 90s or earlier”
“1947 CJ2A willys tub, frame, axles and other usable parts. What you see on jeep is what is included. ID tag is still attached to frame and readable. Asking $500obo”
