About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“This is an extraordinary running driving Willy’s truck. It has digital dash, super clean interior and new tires. Cash required to test drive. This is a great runner if you like all of it’s other features a test drive will make you love it.”
Runs & Drives Great, Excellent Candidate for Restoration.
Rebuilt 327 Vigilante AMC Motor w/ less than 500 miles, Automatic Transmission. Body has only 25K original miles on it, as it was used at a hunt camp and was only driven sporadically over the years. Floorboards & Frame are in Excellent condition, the Interior is in Good condition (7 out of 10).
This is a Beautiful Vehicle at a Great Price….wish I had the time to restore it.”
(03/16/2017) Looks good. Has a variety of updates.
“Buick V6 225, Power steering, Lockers Front and Rear, Hydraulic winch, Tow Bar, Bikini Top, and Full Top. Chevy Transmission four speed and transfer case. Tilt Wheel, custom dash, two fuel tanks. New tires and wheels. Box of Parts and rear seat. Electric Wipers.”
“1962 FC170 Mostly original paint/patina red/white. All drivetrain components serviced and in good running condition. Trans is T98 4-speed. Engine and trans were rebuilt in the last 10 years. Truck has 60’s era hydraulic dump bed. This truck is from Illinois and has some rust issues. I have been driving it and using it as is and it is a lot fun. I have a upper cab section that includes the roof, rear window sections and A-pillars that could be used if you wanted to restore the truck. I also have an extra set of doors. $8k”
“This is a 1946 CJ2A Serial Number 48768 that is in original barn find condition. It has the hard to find governor and rear PTO setup for a farm jeep. It has many original part and has the original motor in it. It does not run, the motor does not turn over and the transmission and transfer case seem to be stuck as well. It is a great candidate for a restoration or just repair what’s needed and drive it. The front floors are the worst of the sheet metal, the rear quarter near the spare tire mount will need some work as well and the windshield is shot.”
“We have a really nice old willy’s truck. It has been painted hot rod black and is 4wd. It has had motor and trans from 85 jeep rebuilt and installed in it. Bowman’s Auto Sales”
“Have a trailer for sale. Old willys truck bed. Trailer has good tires and tows fine. Think someone might be more interested in the bed than the trailer shoot me a text if you’re interested.”
“1950 CJ3A Willys Jeep
Rebuilt in the 80’s and modified with a Ford 289 engine.
Engine runs well, but could use a carb rebuild. 120 average compression; 49-50 psi oil pressure.
The rest of the drivetrain was rebuilt, but is original.
No noises from axles, transmission, and transfer case. All function fine. Four wheel drive is perfect.
Clutch works fine, brakes work but could use attention on the front passenger side.
Tires will leak air after a few days.
6782 miles since rebuilt, always stored inside.
Speedometer, oil pressure, fuel, amps and temp gauges all work.
Paint was never perfect, and there is some small rust staring to show.
Very fun Jeep!”
