UPDATE: SOLD. was $3500.
(04/08/2015) Has updated engine.
“What I have here is an old antique Army Jeep. It is a Willys M 38. It has all the military data plates on the dash. It has an unusual Military hard top with the data plate on it. It is called the Artic top. Somebody converted it to a 6 cyl Chevy engine. It it runs good. 4 Wheel drive works as it should. It has no breaks. Left rear brake line is leaking. I bought this with the intensions of restoring it. But I have to many projects and not enough time. If you are reading this then it’s still for sale. Please include a phone # and the subject matter to weed out the spam.”
Jim spotted this vintage looking racer from California that’s built on an inexpensive DJ-5 chassis. Read all about it at Petrolicious:

Heading to Vietnam? You might consider a jeep adventure while you are there. John shared these Vietnam-jeep related links. I’ve yet to receive any reports about any of these trips, but they must be gaining popularity give the number of them. There are some jeeps, but mostly M-151w.
Bob needs some help in Dallas. He might have the clutch in backwards. I can neither confirm nor deny that I know this from personal experience.
“I need someone to help correct a clutch problem. I have replaced the flywheel, clutch disc., pressure plate, through out bearing and all the linkage. Clutch will not disengage. Will pay I need to get this corrected as I’m almost finished wit a complete rebuild. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD**
John’s got a Model 50 Ramsey winch that he’s interested in selling. If anyone has some advice on the value or its condition, feel free to comment.
Hello, My name is John Knowles, I live in Mont Albert, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. I have a Ramsey model 50 PTO winch head and mounting frame. It apparently came of a damaged UN vehicle and was brought back to Aus. When I got the winch it had no cable fitted and had been heavily painted in UN white.
It has been sitting around in dry storage for many, many years, recently I was toying with the idea of putting front & rear PTO winches on my 110 Land Rover just for the hell of it so I got out the Ramsey and started to clean it up. As I cleaned it up I found it to be in very good condition but I noticed on the ID tag that it was rated at 3500lbs so I started to do some research into this model winch. From what I can gather they are quite collectable so maybe someone on this forum may know a person/collector looking for this model winch, or is it something i should list on Ebay
The ID tag is as follows
Ramsey Winch Mfg Co Tulsa Okla, Model 50, Capacity 3500, Serial Number 9317.
It also has the Bronze engage/ disengage lever.
Has potential. Engine doesn’t look original
“WWII Jeep with an original four cylinder flathead engine that runs. Has been sitting and needs some restoration, needs work before being fit for the road.’
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** was $6500

I no longer have use for it and would like it to go to someone that will us it! It runs like a champ have had the carburetor, original PTO winch, engine rebuilt back in 2007-2009. Everything in working condition. I have documentation on all of it. ”

(01/08/2017) Bill shared the one. Looks to be a Lefty with a Porter & Reed hardtop.

Craig spotted this one. Looks like there’s value here. I wonder if that top will clean up some.
“Howdie,
I am helping advertise a Willys for a friend. He has a clear title for the Jeep. Any questions you might have may take me a day to get back with you since I am the ‘middle man’. Anyhow, enjoy the pics and let me know if you have any questions.
Here is a bit more info: Jeep ran until he decided to park it. Put air in the tires & loaded the Jeep today (1/19). ‘Ready for travel to the new owner.’
This is a great Jeep for a restoration project for the collectors or for those rock crawlers!!!
