Jim spotted this ad. Seller also has a 1947 CJ-2A for sale, but no price listed and not pics of it shared.

“For sale a 1955 Willis jeep, first year of the CJ5, all original, this is the sought after civilian jeep, not running and has mostly surface rust. Two transfer cases. This is a great restore jeep or driver. Asking $1400. I also have original 1947 jeep that I would possibly sell. I have clear North Carolina titles for both.”

(11/20/2016) Doesn’t run.

“Fresh Barn find! This thing is awesome! Looks like it was modified sometime in the 70s a cool look back into history of multiple eras. Has a straight 6 Studebaker engine mated to the original transmission and transfer case. Can easily be converted back to the original. Everything is there and in tact. Currently does not have exhaust manifold and not sure if the engine will turn over. Steers and stops.”
