About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“For sale 1981 Postal jeep. Iron Duke motor that runs great. Newer paint job with new lights. All interior switches work along with light on top and interior fan. Added a passenger seat among other things added. Dixie air horn mounted but not yet hooked into battery. Automatic right hand drive, great little truck. Not sure on Mileage because the Odometer has flipped and it is a postal Jeep which the Gov. probably ran it like crazy but you can tell they maintained it. ”
“Body-off-frame metalwork, with frame and underbody painted years ago. Exterior paint and body work has not been completed.
Two new batteries, points, coil, and wires
Valves adjusted
24V electrical system
Starter turns slowly – could use a rebuild. Starts with hand-crank.
Good power on acceleration and running down the road, but idle is not smooth — may be carburetor related .
Brake system has been rebuilt years ago, and works well.
Gas tank in excellent condition, and appears to have been coated internally.
Will need wiring work to make lights functional.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000. The seller tells me this was owned by Larry Minor.
This has a couple classic Fresno upgrades like the doors and the dash. I learned the other day that Edgewood 4×4 near Tacoma, Washington, used to sell a custom fiberglass dash for M-38A1s/CJ-5s. I’ll try to find some pics. I saw one in person, but didn’t have a camera with me.

“1947 Willys CJ2A in very good mechanical condition, original body with very little rust, rare half cab, equipped with the reliable 60HP Go-Devil L-Head 4 cylinder engine, upgraded to 12Volt system, updated lighting, new battery, new alternator, steering stabilizer, new gas tank, new brake lines and much more. Starts and runs great, 3 speed manual transmission, 4WD works, has locking hubs as well as high and low range. Seats are in good condition, has the tool storage underneath passenger seat and comes with a front tow bar. Clean title currently registered and insured as an antique vehicle in VA and is road ready. “Package Deal: Should fit ’52 and newer M38A1 OR ’55 to ’71 (maybe up to 75?) CJ5
1. The black/green top is solid, a few spots of light surface rust, the tan spot was from me trying out some “desert tan” to see if would go with my “OD green” on my m38a1. All the glass is there, no cracks.
2. The doors are there in white, a few small spots on the exterior of rust to fix (or not). One is missing the handle, glass is there and unbroken, they both need some lube inside the doors, no jeep-side hardware.
3. White top is rusty with dent in roof, has both side glasses (one installed, one not, both in good shape, no cracks). I have the rear door, no glass, and the two small rear windows do not have glass in them, I do have two panes, correct shape, not sure if they quite fit though this top though.”
THESE ARE VERY RARE BARN FIND ITEMS. I KNOW THE 3 POINT IS REALY VALUABLE. IT IS THE FIRST ONE I HAVE EVER SEEN FOR SALE AFTER YEARS OF BUYING AND SELLING WILLYS PARTS & JEEPS.
STUDY THE PHOTO’S AND SEE THE NICE CONDITION THESE 6 SHOWEN ITEMS ARE IN.”
