Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Here is a 1951 Dunbar Kapple M 100 ¼ ton trailer in unaltered and very good condition with minimal surface rust. It has brand new Firestone 600 x 16 NDT tires & tubes mounted on the correct rims & lugs. The placards are original & complete. The items missing are: 1 safety chain ( 1 still intact ), original tail lights, and 24 volt cable box ( brackets still intact on trailer ). I purchased this trailer 14 years ago to convert into a utility trailer with cutout tailgate to pull behind my early Bronco, but decided it needed to be kept in its original condition and restored as a part of history. If you need more close up scans, please let me know. I live in the Cameron Park, Ca area in Northern California. I am asking $ 1600 for the trailer. Runs and drives. The dash must have been replaced or it’s a new body.
“This was passed down from grandfather, an avid hunter who was a lifelong member of the NRA. He kept it running like a clock and took it out of the garage a few times a year for his hunting trips. Was kept in the garage when not hunting.
Cleaned her up and made some restorations and upgrades. Runs like a clock and is fun to drive.
Great little jeep. Built like a tank and simple. You can fix everything with a few wrenches and a screwdriver. Light, and will not be able to get it stuck. It can almost climb the side of a wall in first.

I don’t know much about them, but there doesn’t appear to be much to them. This one will be accompanied by a clean title and has the factory plate on the passenger side. Has no engine. Needs work.
“Complete, Straight & Original Jeep minus the Engine Block. Many Engine parts, including the Carburetor and Intake, Starter, Oil Fill Tube, Flywheel, Starter, etc. are with this Jeep but the Engine block itself is missing. Transmission & Transfer Case and all 4 Wheel Drive Parts are with this Jeep and have not been tampered with.
This is a really straight original Jeep. The Seats are Both Original and the Gas Tank is not rusted out. Floors are very good with a few holes in the bed floor but otherwise good. Body has little to no rust out in the usual places where a Jeep rusts out. The whole Jeep is very clean over all. Grill is super straight and tail gate is original and the straightest tail gate ( see pics ) that I’ve ever seen on one of these vehicles! I love the spare tire rack with original wheel and the original tow hitch is still in place. This Jeep is almost 70 years old!
Should be an easy restore for anyone wanting one of these Vintage Jeeps.
