About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“42 Ford GPW (Project)
Tub is in great shape for the year!
Motor was removed due to crack.
Have another flat head motor and tranny that needs to be gone through. Has newer fuel tank and seals for axles. Needs seats and some tinkering. The tailgate and windshield is willys.
Would be open to trades of 4 wheelers only. (450 or bigger)”
Bill spotted this one. There’s $500 of value in the plow alone.
“F head 4cylinder jeep . It ran last i used it so unless I get some time I might have to drop the price. This is not road worthy it is just a plow rig. and the plow rigging needs … help. But it worked this way for me. Latest update: No spark , no power to fuel pump. this jeep needs time that I dont have so start the bidding. the hydrolick ram should be worth something.”
“Military jeep has been sitting untouched for 8 years. I did get the engine to turn over 8 years ago. It has added Manual locking front hubs. The engine is stock. As is the pictures look, as they where taken last week. Sold as is. The tow bar, roll bar, rear seat and tow lights included if needed (as is). The tires still have air and the jeep is towable as it is. Tags expired 2012.
I am selling this because I do not have the time to restore another jeep, according to my wife.”
Roberto Flores has these two new mini-canvases for sale. Contact him at robflores@robertoflores.com.
He also gave some context on the MB canvas. He wrote,
“The Willys MB is the jeep of capitaine Raymond Dronne, commanding officer of “La Nueve” or 9th company III Battaillon Régiment de Marche du Tchad, 2nd Free French armored division Leclerc, or 2éme DB Leclerc. Most of the them of this elite unit were Spaniards ex-Republican soldiers, who fought as mounted infantry in half-tracks. The history behind these men was incredible. Some years ago I had the chance to write with some of them and at least visit one of them at France, were I realized the sacrifice they paid for a better world. This unit, “La Nueve”, called in Spanish because the number of Spanish volunteers soldiers who formed it, was the first to entered Paris in 24th August 1944, with several M4 medium Shermans from 501e RCC and another support vehicles (I think 3 half-tracks) from an engineer unit of the 2éme DB.”
You can see the Raymond Dronne character at the 2:09 mark in this film by Renné Clement!
