About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“Hello, you are looking at a nice little 1946 Jeep Willys CJ2A. It has had a body off restoration. The whole body has been treated with Rhino Lining,Top and Bottom – forever tough.I’m selling this for a good friend of mine.He has had it for about five years, and only uses it for a yearly parade in Rossville IL. It lives it the garage the rest of the time. lol. It has the original motor and transmission. I started it right up to pull it out of the garage for the pictures. The speedometer doesn’t work. Brakes and clutch felt a little soft, but worked good. It comes with a BRAND NEW soft top, Never installed (see pictures). It is for sale locally, so may end auction at any time.”
It has a damaged edge, but still might be a good price.

(06/06/2015) The turbo 400 tranny has pushed the transfercase back a ways. That rear driveline must not be very long.

“Selling two 1952 M38A1’s. Project started on the red one frame is original with no repairs just sandblasted and coated in POR15. Body is in fantastic shape. The green one I originally bought for parts and the MD engine as the tub is shot. All parts are military for both jeeps aside from the CJ-5 F-head and an aftermarket roll bar. Both engines ran when I bought the jeeps and were fogged before storage. Also included are some transmission rebuild parts and several gallons of sealed paint and primer. Maxed out the pictures but there are more parts included. Looking to get $4500 or best reasonable offer cash only, any questions I will do my best to answer.”
One his way through Cuba, New Mexico, Don stopped at a Mexican restaurant called the Cuban Cafe. He recommends the food. The owners are Margie and Bob. Margie drives a 1972 CJ-5 that belonged to her father.
After Cuba, Don drove to the Durango, Colorado, area. He’s had his eye on this M-38, but the seller won’t sell it. The jeep continues to sit outside in the weather.
This show a couple of fallen soldiers next to the jeep.
“1944- Two American soldiers lied dead next to their Jeep that was struck by German machine gun fire during the Normandy invasion. Number on hood is clearly readable.”
