About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“’62 DJ3A project with title. 90% complete (minus engine and radiator) but is a rough project. Original 4-lug suspension. I have a running L-134 but it isn’t included with the Jeep. I just trailered it from Missouri yesterday and haven’t cleaned it up to take pics yet.”
The builder of this jeep (who isn’t the seller) had an unusual solution for the front driveline. Not sure why it is attached at all. The seller also provides full disclosure that it shouldn’t be driven faster than 55mph.
The web server was down last night, so I didn’t get a chance to finish updates. They should all be up by noon EST / 9am PST and this message will disappear. Thanks!
“Unique body style 1961 Jeep FC170 PU. Seldom seen but in good shape for a restoration project. Needs mechanical and body work. Not for the faint hearted, but if you are looking for something few others have, this could be for you.
Have collected many parts for resto-mod that are included.
Many photos and detailed description available by e-mail.”
(05/09/2015) It’s a no-title project, but has potential.
“I have a 1953 Willy’s Panel Wagon for sale. It is a rolling chassis only, with no title, engine, or trans.
Body is in great shape, with only two problem areas, the area around the gas cap, and the bent up sheet metal under the back doors. Other rust is surface rust only. Panels are straight, and the interior is not all chopped up. Doors wand windows open, but glass is bad. Again no title, but I purchased from fellow in Kansas, with bill of sale. Title can be applied for from Kansas. Call with any questions. Thanks.”
Both look interesting. You don’t find many M-38s with heaters on the cowl.

(06/21/2015) Listed as a 1948, this appears to be a 2WD DJ-3A.
“I am selling my 1948 Willys CJ2A. It is a project vehicle. This is the most fun vehicle I have ever driven.
It has been sitting a while in the garage and I haven’t had any time to putz with it, so it doesn’t start right now. That’s the usual story though. Normally it is a little starter fluid, charge battery, wiggle some ignition wires and she does. Needs new exhaust, radiator, electrical, brakes ( master cyl) speedometer and parking brake cables and tires. I drained the gas tank a few years ago and it was orange so I imagine there is some rust in the tank. 2 wheel drive. No top.
