About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“this car is a frame off restoration sand blasted and put back tighter. it has original front end steering with a Chevy rear end. ive had the car for 20 some years . it has a chevy 350 engine. 350 turbo trans , . alumin intake , alt., new batt. headers, dual exhaust, all most new tires weld wheels, new engine dress up, the interior is perfect . good top with side snap ons windows and snap cover when top is down.”
“1943 willy’s MB looks mostly original if you like military jeeps . The motor is a F head it’s been changed but it runs . The trans is an original T84 . Taking offers or trades for other vehicles I don’t have the title .”
Needs some work. Of course, those hurricane rims aren’t in fact original.
“Very good condition, nearly no rust. Flathead engine needs valve job. Original wheels. Many new and spare parts. Bonus 4′ X 6′ trailer with with Willy’s/overland tailgate. Sacrifice and must sell, asking $2350 or best offer.”
“Used 1966 Jeep cj-5 Tuxedo Park edition. Bought as a daily driver project, turned out to be unsafe and larger project (frame broken) than I wanted. Cleaned and painted a solid M38A1 frame and mounted engine/trans/transfer in it. Cleaned, repainted, remounted springs on new bushings. New Rancho shocks. As far as I want to go. Will be safe anyway. Have Dana 25 and 44 on the frame with 9″ drums and Dana 27 and 44 with 10″ drums extra. Engine, 231 Buick, ran good with good compression, T400 Automatic also worked fine. New parts purchased before aware of condition: Headers, complete floor pan, Plastic gas tank, fuel sending unit, valve covers, Rochester carb, extra (not on), Ford reverse manual steering box, Heavy duty tie rods and ball joints, Borgenson steering conversion, new seats, new bushings for springs. Rust on tub has been stopped, there are holes in wheel wells, with plate steel over these see pictures. Floor pan is for poorly fixed rust on tub floor. Everything else solid. Parts needed to complete, wiring harness, couple of brake lines, and body bushings. I will consider all reasonable offers, but as with all these jeeps have a lot invested. Am trying to sell all together, but will consider parting out. Can provide many more pictures if needed. Mileage listed may not be accurate, but read around 67,000 miles. Thanks for looking.”
