About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Craig forwarded this ad. Looks like a solid rebuild at a fair price. Unclear what “little work” is needed.
“1953 Willys Pick up Truck. 4 wheel drive, automatic , 4.3 chevy engine, big tires, diamond plate bed, not a show car just a crazy good lookin eye catcher, dual exhaust, a little work is all she needs!”
Has an updated engine. It looks like a nice Jeepster.
“1949 Willys Jeepster This is a cool little crusier to enjoy, but I am in need of more space to store my other Cars. It has a great running 350 sbc and 350 turbo auto trans. The rear end is a later model Ford
with 3:45 gear ratio that moves this Jeepster with ease.It also has new upholstery, like new top and side curtains,Elec.fuel pump,12V conversion, new starter, dual exhaust (nice rumble) 15″ chrome
wheels and baby moons, like new tires. The brakes are good (new lines) Lights and turn signals all work. Frame and floors are solid, carpeted. Paint is driver quality with some scrathes and chips.
Items needed are: pass.door latch, wipers, pass. wing window cracked.
This is not a concours restoration, just a fun around town crusier and the price reflects as so.
My asking price is 9600.00 o.b.o”
Glenn forwarded this unusual DJ-3A. That’s probably a one-of-a-kind windshield. Was listed here in 2014.
“1957 Willys 2wd civilian model painted like army jeep. Motor and transmission are from an S10 pickup and run excellent. I just put a brand mew carburetor on it. This is a fun parade vehicle. I would not use it as a daily driver due to no power steering or power brakes or heater or top. It will run 55 but they were not made to do so. As you can see these were very small, about the size of a golf cart. I have put over 1000 miles on it and it has been all fun. I have taken it on trails that 4 wheelers use. It has radial tires because the bias ply was scary driving. I have a clear ILLINOIS title . It is street legal. Working lights, turn signals, horn and seat belts.”
“1956 Willys 1.5 ton pickup. 350 Chevy motor. Turbo 350 trans with shift kit. Power steering, power brakes.
1974 Wagoneer front axle. 1979 J-10 rear axle. 3:07 gear ratio. New springs. New shocks.
Everything is rebuilt or brand new. Only 900 miles, since placing on the road.
Vehicle is inspected and runs and rides great. Unfortunately, due to health problems, I have not been able to complete all the body work. It is all original steel with very little rust issues. Frame was blasted and finished with Por-15.
Asking $ 15,000 or best offer—-$25,000 invested.
If interested, send email, and will make arrangements to check it out”
“This 1947 Willys Jeep belonged to my father, who recently passed away. He has had it since 1960. He used it for hunting. He stored it in 1971. In 2013 he decided to get it running again. When he bought it, the original flat head “Go Devil” engine was replaced with a 1953 F-head “Hurricane” engine. Has hole cut in hood because Hurricane engine is taller than Go Devil engine.
We took it to a collector car shop in Sacramento, California, to start the project. We had all the brake components changed. Master cylinder, all brake lines, all brake parts, wheel cylinders, drums etc. It has new fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump and rebuilt carb. Valve job with all new valves, guides, etc. Converted to 12 volt system. All new bulbs and light fixtures in rear. New 12 volt alternator, and 12 volt gear reduction starter. New water pump, rebuilt radiator. Converted to positive crank case ventilation.
All new steering box, steering column and steering wheel. Recovered seats. Engine starts and runs nice, but smokes a little when driven. Bottom end of engine probably needs attention. We have suspension parts, leaf springs and shocks, still in boxes. This project still needs to be finished. We are looking to get back a fraction of the money invested in this project. Needs lots more work. If you have questions, I will try to get answers. The paperwork and plates on this vehicle are current.”
“Registered through 2015
Newer 283 with about 10,000 miles. new gaskets no engine leaks. Aluminum intake, Edlebrock Carb. New clutch.
