These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Seth spotted this nice looking Commando. I don’t know enough about them to know if the restoration was a perfect one or not.

This is a package deal. Brian Miller is selling these for what he paid. The one on the right runs, but has a rusted body. The body on the left isn’t rusty, but according to the tag it’s a CJ-3A body (though Brian didn’t seem convinced when I mentioned it). He’s got more parts that go along with the 2A/3A package. “Offered for sale is our 1963 Willys Jeep Surrey. This car was restored in our automotive restoration shop CASCO Automotive Restorations, a division of Classic Auto Supply Co., in Coshocton Ohio in 2004 and shortly thereafter transported to the Florida Keys where it has been since then. The odometer shows 37,600 miles. I do not believe this to be correct. The Serial Number is 5633722482.

Today was my last day in Texas. Both Ann and I feel satisfied that we did enough and went enough places to get a taste of Texas regions. We appreciate Lee, Sam, Brian and Jason for taking time to meet and talk with us. Also, as always, we appreciate everyone’s suggestions!!
Today I drove from Amarillo, Texas, to Alamosa, Colorado.
To bid me a memorable goodbye, Amarillo threw me a thundershower party. There was thunder, lightening and plenty of rain. The worst of it came just as I stepped out of the motel with my arms loaded with stuff for the Jeep. So, I ran for the jeep and unlocked it as quickly as I could, but I still got pretty drenched!! I hopped in the jeep and drove to the covered area by the reception desk and snapped this photo.
Rather than try to photograph the Cadillac Ranch area in the rain, I headed north hoping to escape the storm. The plan actually worked. Within an hour I was cruising along under clear blue skies.
I even got a chance to see one last jeep before leaving Texas:
I wanted to drive to Oklahoma to see Boise City, a place heavily affected by the Dust Storms of the 1930s. The museum wasn’t open when I drove through the city, but I did find this tribute to a bomb dropped by a B-17 during 1943. My wife reminded me that this is why bombs are not armed until ready to drop. There are a surprising number of accidental bomb droppings I’m told, but safety procedures and good luck have kept us safe.
A reader forwarded this unusual truck that’s been modified with all kinds of camping conveniences. The narrator isn’t always easy to understand, but the truck is interesting.

“1962 Willys Sedan Delivery 4×4. Rare body style, and in very good condition. Original rebuilt 225-6, 3 spd T90, with dana 18 TC. Also has Warn Overdrive installed. The body is as solid as you will find. This truck is from Southern California. The only body work done by previous owner is some fiberglass overlay on the front driver / passenger floors to seal pin holes.- no patch panels done or needed in my opinion. There is a small dent in the drivers rear QP, but its an easy fix, on the bottom edge of the panel. I suspect the body was a donor onto a regular wagon chassis because the gauge cluster is from a mid 50’s era Willys. Only a real Willys nut would know that, and actually the 50’s dash is more desirable. Engine runs perfect – no choke to start, and this truck drivers great. It just looks odd with those eyeballs. It is still a project.
“’47 willys jeep truck about 65% finished with complete frame off restoration. Father was working on it and passed away suddenly and now mother needs to sell it. New paint, glass and gaskets, rebuilt knicco Chevy 350 that has only been started 3 times, many many other new parts and work has been done to it, 9,999 but price is negotiable, must see to appreciate, have well over 15k invested already just cant afford to finish it for him”
