Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Willys jeep hard top, body rough, engine in pieces in back, parts vehicle only (no title). Has all original parts, gauges steel wheels seats in good shape. Lots of good parts on this one, if you are doing a restore this is the parts rig for you. Original tyranny and transfer case, original axles. Price is negotiable.”
Steve let me know that these to jeeps were auctioned this past weekend. One was supposed to be a completely NOS, non-restored jeep in mint condition. However, I thought the data plates looked a little too shiny? There is a good shot of them late in the video. The MB sold for $24,000. The restored GPW sold for $25,000.

It need some work and is a mix of M-38A1 & CJ-5 parts, but there may be some value here.
“chevy small block, 4 bbl, headers, moonies, manual 3 spd, low geared, bikini top, soft top, soft doors,roll bar, custom mags, have new mirrors need to be mounted, fender flares, runs and drives great on trails, not geared for highway use. (05/25/2016) Both are projects.Neither have the correct hubs in back.
“I have two 1942 ford gpw military jeeps.
The green one is a hard to find ford script tub. It has a T90 transmission and a transfer case installed in it and has an L134 engine in the back of it that needs to be installed. It is set up with power brakes and power steering. Its a good solid tub and good project. $3,500
The yellow one has a T90 transmission and an L134 engine installed. None of this jeep has been tested and is being sold as a project as well. $3,500”
