This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For sale. Steel body single axle utility trailer. Trailer has 15″ tires. Steel bottom and steel stake sides. Fold down tail gate and steel stake back frame. Paint has seen better days and there is some rust. First $300 takes it.”
Both need work and both have updates. Looks like one has an M-38 body.
“Selling 2 Willys Jeep 1945 and 1948 cj2a together.
’45 has a very straight body and runs well but will need a little work. It has a low miles chevy 350 with a turbo 400 auto., 33/12.50 with alloy rims.
’48 is a project with all or almost all parts to complete. The body is near-perfect, wells are cut for leg room, custom dash and gauges, electric fan, 35/15.50 tsl super swampers on real beadlock rims ($2500 right there). custom seats but are weather beaten. 5 point harnesses. custom built for this jeep, long arm, coil spring conversion lift kit from Rocky Road in Utah. Weld-in appication. Still in Box. ($3,000 right there). Low miles crate motor chevy 350 with SM 420 4 speed to T90 with adapter. 3 extra transmissions: SM 420, SM 465 / Bell, TH 700R4 4×4 – K stamp series (heavier duty). extra roll bar and much more. This stuff is work $20K.
Everything goes together or I keep it. No trades. $7,500”

“1946 Jeep Willis Cj2a. Has motor trans transfer case. Been converted to 12volt. F head motor. Lightweight offroad vehicle. SMALLEST JEEP MADE. Last year registered was 2009. No title, bill of sale only.”
This August 25, 1958, article in the Sydney Morning Herald welcomed jeep manufacturing to Australia. The in-depth articles cover quite a bit of jeep history. The ads are interesting, too. Because the articles, photos, and ads are so interconnected, I’ve included full-page reproductions of the pages rather than try to slice them up to make them web friendly. “I am selling my 1951 flat fender. I have owned this rig for the last 23 years and have a clean title in hand. Runs great.
MOTOR: It has a pro built Ford 289 from a 1966 mustang with 4 barrel carter carb, 4 barrel dual plane weiand intake. Advance adapter headers with Edelbrock mufflers. Aluminum radiator. MSD ignition system. Optima red top battery.
TRANSMISSION: T-18 with granny low. Dana Spicer model 18 transfer case. Center force 2 clutch. Hydraulic clutch. Scatter shield type bell housing.
SUSPENSION: Dana 44 front and rear with 4:88 gears. Detroit locker in the rear and loc rite in the front. Rear Dana 44 is offset with flanged type axles. Discs front and rear. 33X12.5X15 super swampers. Spring over with YJ springs plus add a leaf in the rear. Warn premium hubs on the front Dana 44. Saginaw power steering box with a ford power steering pump. Military jeep tie rods with DOM tubing.

“Great 4 wheel drive 1946 Willys Jeep! Has a V-8 engine (from a 1960s Chevy van I think) and power steering. It is a 3-speed, plus a low range and an overdrive, so you’ll have lots of gear choices! It has been a wonderful family fun vehicle for years, but we now rarely use it since our kids are older. It has brand new tires, and it is in good mechanical condition. Floorboards are solid.
Includes a dual axle trailer for towing the Jeep, with trailer brakes (I’ve never used the trailer brakes, so I cannot vouch for them).”
