About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Are you ready for winter? 4×4? Maybe the top down on the warm days?! Here’s your ride! Tight jeep, with a 4 cylinder flat head. Travel back in time and turn heads. In great shape, road and off road. New tires and rims, radiator, master cylinder. Top and seats are redone with new pedals as well as more. Mileage unknown”
“Gertrude is currently housed in my garage. I’ve had all the gas drained out of her so that it would not ruin the interior of her engine. She was running fine prior to doing that. She will need breaks very soon. She needs her clutch cable replaced which I have. She needs new tires put on which I also already have. She has all custom interior that is brand new and needs to be installed. She has a bimidity top that’s brand new that needs to be installed as well. It is breaking my heart to sell her in the middle of her restoration but times have gotten tough and I had to make a choice. My loss is your gain.”
“1959 Jeep Willys. Bought as a project but just don’t have time for it anymore. Sanded and repainted frame, new shocks and leafsprings. Engine and transmission. Have a 2nd engine as well. 2 hoods, 2 windshields, full set of doors. Dashboard and tons of extras. No tub/body. 1400 or best offer. Need gone”

Seats are in great shape”
“Listing for my uncle since he doesn’t have Facebook. He has a 1946 jeep Willy’s cj2a (red) and a parts 1947 jeep Willy’s cj2a (Rust color) for sale as a package deal. Flat head strait 4 cylinder. Red one has a newer top and has been garage kept most of its life. Great project vehicles. Parts jeep has rotted tub but many good usable parts otherwise. Asking $7500.”
“1946 Willys CJ2A. Former service station Jeep equipped with a plow setup and aluminum half cab. Original “L head” engine had been swapped with a later “F head” engine at some point. Hasn’t ran in about 5 years. It does turn over but I believe the distributor needs to be replaced. All the serial number tags are intact. Body is very rough especially the floors. Frame seems to be in decent shape. Good candidate to fix and use on the property, use for parts or restore with new sheet metal. Plow blade is included. No title just a bill of sale. $2500 obo.”
This eight-page October 1962 issue of Jeep News introduces the Gladiator and Wagonneer. So, it may not be too surprising that this entire issue covers these new jeeps.
UPDATE: I found what I believe is another Israel Kaiser brochure which highlights the Compact Tender design. This truck looks more like a modified wagon than a truck. The bed does not appear independent of the cab.

Original Published Dec 05, 2010: Congrats to Or who spotted some information from a “Kaizer-Ilin Industrys Ltd” marketing document at the Israel Cars forum. He and I have both searched for any official piece of evidence that the vehicles we were seeing were really produced and this represents the first step in that process. We still don’t know how many were produced, nor how many years they were produced, nor in how many countries they were produced (though they have appeared in both Israel and the US).
The document below is from 1963. Or translates it the following way:
Moreover, Or spoke with some of the folks at the Israel Cars forum and discovered that the Compact Tender is built on the Panel/Wagon frame (104.5″ wheelbase) rather than the long pickup frame (118″ wheelbase).
Thanks to the guys at the Israel Cars forum for posting this Ad:
