About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This looks like an excellent APU restoration project. This O.E. Szekely Mobile APU jeep has the holes in the dash for the extra gauges. Learn more about APUs here. The grille addition isn’t something standard (that I have seen).

“Just in time for Spring is this one of a kind 1953 Willys Hot Rod Truck. It may still say 4 wheel drive on the Hood but this bad boy has been transformed from snow plow duty to a bitchin Street Rod. The project started with a super clean stock 53 Willys pickup. The front end received a Mustang II suspension while the rear end came from a Lincoln. Four wheel disc brakes stop this machine like a 747. A brand new Ford 302 crate motor handles the power. the engine was placed as low and as far back as possible which gives this ride great handling. Inside has a bench seat and Jimmy Shine “spiked ball” shifter knob. Easy to drive and very reliable. New Painless Street Rod wiring. all lights, horn, turn signals etc. work as they should.”
“Restoration project. This is a truck you can drive while restoring. It has a very strong flat head 6cyl motor that runs great, does not burn or leak oil. No smoke on startup. Strong 3spd on the floor. Working 4wd. Frame is excellent with no rust. New master cylinder and breaks all around, less then 5 miles on them. Cab has a good outside with some rust in normal places. Inside the cab needs some metal work but is restorable with home welder. This jeep has not been on the road as a daily driver for a while so needs to be gone through. I have driven it and it tracks very nice for a 50 year old truck. It is being sold “as is” so please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I can email you more pictures if needed”
(06/14/2014) “1951 CJ3A NEW SEATS, STEREO,HEATER. REBUILT TRANSMISSION,OVERDRIVE WITH LOCKING DIFFERENTIAL IN FRONT. 134 4 CYLINDER ENGINE RUNS FINE.GOOD TEAL PAINT AND GOOD TIRES AND BRAKES.ROLL BAR AND TOW BAR. REAR HITCH. GOOD REMOVABLE TOP.REWIRED AND UPGRADED TO 12 VOLT WITH ALTERNATOR.”
“64k miles on original flat head 4, 3 speed manual trans and dual stick transfer case. Running gear is mechanically perfect, Clutch was replaced and has less than 500 mi on it. Still original 6 volt battery system with most of the original wiring in tact and floor starting button. Blinkers sand key were added by a former owner but should be easy enough to change or remove. Body is solid with some surface rust mainly in the bed. Has been painted at some point. Have original owners manual as well as defroster and hand crank. This is a CASH ONLY sale, NOT interested in trades. Please don’t waste my time with lowball offers or scams.”
“You are looking at a 1946 Willys Jeep (CJ 2A) that has been renovated to use and abuse…It has a title, is tagged and insured. This was the jeep that started it all, the first year that the Willys was available to civilians after WWII. All work has been done by a certified mechanic in the last year (have receipts). I’ve been driving it close to every day. 4 wheel drive works fantastically! I’d put this thing up against any Rubicon any day. It is a tank.
No frills on this Willys, but it is a real head-turner. Cruises at 50mph, drives over anything and everything. Lots of fun and is fairly dependable. Has low-back seats from a 52 Willys because they are a lot more comfortable than the original seats. It also has an extra set of tires and wheels (original wheels) All electrical has been converted to 12V… The only thing that it needs is turn signals. Eventually, it would be a good idea to convert the starter to work in collaboration with the key. As of right now, the starter is on the floor. I’ve kept it that way for the novelty of it (and for security…no one would know how to start it, even if they had the key). It’s got some rust and no speedometer, but i’ve accounted for that in the asking price. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6900. This was last listed a couple years ago in Lake Havasu City.
(06/06/09) There’s been some time and money put into this rig.
“Hello everyone, im selling my 1952 Willys Jeep 4×4. First off the jeep is gorgeous with a full frame off restoration. Everything from the paint, engine, interior and suspension have been done and everything works amazing. Starting with the engine its had a full 350 v8 transplant with 350 turbo transmission with very low miles. There are chrome pieces everywhere and it also has an aluminum radiator with big electric fan. There is absolutely no rust anywhere and the jeep has a custom lift with new springs and near new 33×12.50 tires and custom 15″ rims. The paint is a beautiful white with deep purple flames. The jeep also has custom chrome front and rear bumpers with a full tow hitch. It also has a full length new black top with removable doors and zip down windows. The interior has also been completly redone with black leather seats and looks great. The drivetrain has also been fully redone with 537 gears and a new rear end. There is much more to add and the list just keeps going on with over 12k in receipts. Overall the jeep is brasically brand new and the cleanest you will find at a ridiculously low price.”
This is an interesting 3B. It’s got a replacement tub. The side bar has an unusual swoop that must act as a step. Labeled a 1951, it might be a CJ-3A chassis?
“You are bidding on a 1951 Willy’s Jeep. It was purchased approximately 3 years ago as the foundation of a custom off-road/rock crawler vehicle. It has nearly new heavy lugged off road tires, custom built roll cage with side skids. The cage and skids were professionally built. The jeep body is in very good condition for being 64 years old. It has a custom gas tank with custom seats (see photos). The vehicle was scheduled for a complete ground up custom build. A death in the family forces sale. It was running and was drove to the spot where it is parked. It has the Commando OHV engine. No Battery … sold as is. Front axle needs differential work. Some other parts are included, top bows/doors/ and a variety of other small parts. ”
“1958 Forward Control 150 Jeep 4Cyl, 3SP Trans, 4WD, 4Alum wheels/new tires, new fuel pump, all new rubber weather seals, lots of new parts. The interior needs completed. Has PA Antique tags that will transfer with vehicle. The pictures were photos when registered as Antique all areas of rust was repaired with welded new metal. Looks a lot better now !”
