Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Seller thinks that tailgate will fit on a FC-170, but it would require some bending I think.
“Selling a pair of bed fenders and tailgate off a 1959 Jeep Fc 170. Should fit all years of FC-170’s and Fc-150’s. May fit Willys Pickup also. Fenders and tail gate are in great condition, no rust, fresh paint. You wont find any better then this! Cash only NO TRADES!!!”

“This is a willys flat fender tub and front end its in fairly good shape for its age .. The front end has some cracks in the metal but no major rust just surface.. The tub has some rust both surface and a bit of rust thru the metal but not bad still has solid floors… All of it for 800.00”

Looks like a parts jeep.
“body and frame with running gear excpt the engine. Frame is in good shape and the front of the body is good and the back of body needs some patching. Aso have a cj-2 frame with a v-8 mercury flathead engine mounted in the frame if interested for a extra price. also I have a title for each frame.”

(12/18/2014) It’s got a dual PTO.
“1956 willys jeep, not running, got it to crank over a while back so motor isn’t frozen. Pto winch on the front bumper, and I have a roll bar and a full canopy with doors to go with it. All original as far as I know, just needs some tlc to get going. I hate to sell it, but have owned it almost ten years now hoping to get around to fixing it up one day, but never got the time and work has been slow and I could use the cash.”

This has rear full floating hubs. May be a mix of parts.

This April 14, 1941, article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette shared an article about “American-China” support of the army’s new Blitz Buggy, a Bantam BRC-40.
I was able to pull out the text on the caption.
Training Soldiers of Mercy: A Tiny jeep car is converted into an ambulance by the deft(?) place of stretchers at the front and back by soldiers in training at the Medical Field Service School, Carlisle Barracks, PA. This method of transporting wounded is recommended for short distances. Physicians and first aid men serving in the United States Army must carry the fight on disease and wounded not only in hospitals, laboratories, dressing stations and test tubes set on the front under enemy fire. Trainees at the school learn to succor the wounded and fallen through actual field work under simulated conditions they would see in battle. Ingenious methods are used to speed first aid, transportation of the wounded to base hospitals and removal of wounded from the field of action. 9/3/42

“This is a 51 cj 3a that has gone through a frame off restoration, it has a new steel body tub and front fenders the rest of the body parts are original. this was all done 10 years ago and since has about 500 miles put on it, did the parade thing and a few shows, it has a few extra items that jeep people like. It has a new 7 piece canvas top in slate grey, twin stick koenig pto that runs the winch up front and rear farm gearbox in the back, has driveshaft sheilds, orginal rear seat, and best of all dual rear wheel adapters. It is 12 volt, body color is jadestone poly which is a poly dark green. nice, as it looks different in sunlight and shade, also has orginal heater, it is all orginal 51 except the 12 volt, asking 10,000 for it as is but will consider offers lower without the optional equipment. Has been in the garage for 5 years so may need some cleaning and tinkering to get running.”

That could be a CJ-5 frame based on its length.
“1947 willys cj2a has an pontiac 225 v6 not sure if it runs has 75 cj5 axles under it new cooper stt tires needs work but in pretty good shape have more pictures available $2000 or trade”
