Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Seller listed this as a 1953 CJ-3A, but it’s clearly an M-38.
“53 Willys CJ-3A original flat head 4 cyl, original transmission, original seats, 31×10.50 Bfg’s on steel wheels, soft top, KC lights, brush guard, heavy duty rear bumper, hitch, it does need brake work, but overall it is in good condition. Title in hand.”

Craig found this one. Runs and drives, but could used some cosmetic work.
“1960 Willys wagon from California.
This car was built here in Toledo Ohio before being shipped off to a dealership in Santa Cruz. This is where it spent the last 55 years. Original black California plate on the car currently registered.
Original running gear with a rebuilt Buick 225 V6 installed.
Engine runs great, very peppy and loads of torque.
Original paint
Original seats in good condition
Oak floor strips in good condition.
Complete body chrome
Locking hubs
Original wheels with good tires
The car has rust in the roof around the gutters. Not the worst, but needs attention.”
