This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “5 willys jeeps that roll and engines are not seized. 1 run and drive yr ago then been setting. 1 jeep is on blocks but full of various willys parts. all have potential of running. they have been in the barn for years exceptions of the one that was parked. It was on the deer lease it also has a winch on front. ALL JEEPS MUST GO TOGETHER AND WILL NOT MAKE ANY EXCEPTIONS!!”

“Well I’m sure no expert on Jeeps, but a guy I know, has had this FC-170 in a barn for the last 20 years, or so.
I ended up with it in a trade.
This is what I would call a “Barn Find”.
Here is what I know….
It belonged to a fire dept. in the mountains here in Colorado.
I believe the 66,147 miles are actual.
It was taken out of service waiting for a muffler system.
This jeep is filthy dirty, and just how I received it.
I have spun the engine by hand, and it “Turns free”.

“1955 pickup. 95% complete and original truck. A lot of mechanical work has been done. Perfect truck for a first time restoration job.”

It’s not all original, but appears solid.
“1945 Willys Jeep CJ2A for sale. Hate to lose her but Im moving overseas. She is #10170 which you can research and see as the #170th CJ2A made after WWII. I rebuilt the transmission and the motor is great. Like all CJ2As this old there is a slight drip from the transmission housing. She has been up and running great for the past 2 years, I however have not been in El Paso for the past 6 months so the battery is dead and the fuel pump will need to be primed to get running again. After extensive research, there are a few parts that are not original, windshield is from a 1948, electrical is converted to 12V from 6V and the rear axle was upgraded to the 1948 model. This is an amazing find, and I don’t want to see her go- email or text with questions.”

Currently in Mexico. No reason to believe it is a ’56. Seller’s photos seem to be backwards (I fixed the bottom one).
“Rusted, Spackled, painted multiple times by a moron, engine gone and needs replacement, 2 and 4 wheel drive with both high and low, three on the floor, awesome relic from yesteryear… only thing redone is the seats… many, many hours of work required to make Dora (named after someone with similar attributes) run again… Parked in my garage in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point, Mx)…”

No key. Hasn’t run recently.
“1948 Jeep Willys for sale $3000 or best offer. We bought from one of our customers about 6 months ago. This jeep has been in their family since their dad bought it back in the day. We have a clear title, plate and manuals. They said it did run at one time and it is missing a key. We liked the jeep so much that we loaded it on our trailer. It definitely needs some work.”

It’s a project with a reproduction tub.
“I just dont have time for this project, This is an excellent willys jeep that is a great project. It has a reproduction body that is very solid, although it does have a small amount of rust but as you can see from the pics, its very straight. It also has a full soft top, and doors, and an excellent roll bar, good gas tank, the brakes work, new fuel pump, and has all the original parts (except air cleaner) . No leaks, I have serviced the entire willys and all rolling stock seems to be good shape.
The engine does smoke and i imagine you will need to rebuild it, but the engine is solid and original, and is not cracked. Also still on 6 volts, with a good battery. The clutch will also need some work, but that is easy once the engine is out. \
If you simply price some of the parts like a repro body, this is great deal on such a project.”
Still needs the steering and brakes finished.
“1942 Willys Jeep 4×4 3spd in decent condition lifted onto Rockwell 5 Ton Axles, 11.00×20 tires, small block Chevy engine
-the jeep does has a clean “rebuilt” New Mexico title
-will need tie rod and steering arm to complete the project along with differential brakes
